One of my pen-pals had this agency come to her home without warning and remove her 5 Grandchildren based on falsified accusations of abuse by the mother of these children. After their actions of taking the children from their Grandmother CPS was contacted by the daughter who initially filed the complaint and admitted to falsified allegations, only to be told "TO BAD! - The children are ours now!" The two youngest are being put up for adoption, the 3 eldest are in temporary foster homes where they are VERY unhappy and wanting to be back with their Grandmother. Are there other stories like this out there that need to be told?
I promise U there is much much more to this story that u have not been told...
There are State and Federal laws which protect children from having their rights terminated from their parents and vice versa. There is mandated Federal Funds available to keep children with their parents and family...Meaning fix whatever is wrong, housing, counseling, funds, etc.
While there is no doubt that this Agency has some problem cases/Social Workers, don't think this Agency is not necessary. This is truly a necessary evil and contrary to what we as human hopes, not everyone protects and cares for their children...JMHO
I live in south florida here recently we have three murdered children and one with acid burns all over his body. Two different cases. Both had been reported to the authorities so I am not sure what the agency is doing. Here I guess you have to murder your children and then they say opps This is a very sore subject to me right now. I do know in Florida you have always had to really do something big to have your children removed. I think laws will be changing soon

When you look at the case load each worker has,the government not giving them the funding for a proper amount of workers and the burn out that most CPS workers go through due to burn out, then it's amazing there are not more mistakes.Basically CPS workers have been given crap to work with and they are desperately trying to make due.

lavina: Some of how maybe they can help, but still have to look first that agency even more better if our children take care by their own family.
and extended family should step in....if they suspect someone not up to being a good parent for some reason.... then CPS.... Not from your country so not entirely sure what they do...
I have heard of alot of cases where they were doing thier jobs and the parents deserved to lose the children I have also seen cases where the parents just needed help with the good and other I think they are doing a fair job
always 2 sides to every story and they aren't going to just blindly go in and take the kids. if nothing else it cost the state to much to leave them in the state's care for no reason
I think they always try to find a way for the kids to be returned to the parent or guardian. They won't and can't put the lids up for adoption without lengthy legal presidence

Legally family can't just walk in and take someones child no matter if they think the child is being abused or not.Only the courts can terminate a parents right.

Thank you for posting this faithfullness. No one seems to stop to consider that cps workers are under paid and extremely overworked. They are expected to do the job of 10 and to do that job well.No one can do that. They need more funding and they need more people working on cases. They have high burn out rates and don't usually last very long in this job.
