Poll Question: How far Have you traveled in your life? Poller: ali110 hmmmmmm, that's a tough one.
Estimating the average latitude of my lifetime at about 32°, I figure I traveled an average of about 15,000 miles per day just rotating around the earth's axis. So, for ever year that would make about 5,475,000 miles.
Meanwhile I was riding on the earth as it orbited around the sun. If the radius of that orbit is an average of 93,000,000 miles the circumference must be somewhere around 292,000,000 per year.
Meanwhile, along with the earth and the sun, I've been rotating around the center of the galaxy at a speed of roughly 180 miles per second. We can round that off to 10,000,000 miles per day or 3,650,000,000 miles per year.
And of course, along with the entire galaxy, I've been "expanding" away from the center of the universe in the Hubble flow at a leisurely 400 miles per second = 35,000,000 miles per day or 12,775,000,000 miles per year.
So, without even flexing a single muscle, I've traveled about 775,181,000,000 miles in my lifetime.
Other than, that, I've only traveled around the world a couple of times and traveled a lot within many different countries too.
