Love em' or hate em', mobile phones are a part of our lives, kids as young as six years old have mobiles, and we are more and more reliant on these devices to "help" us organise our lives... I remember phone boxes on the street, i remember "remembering" 15 or more ten and twelve digit telephone phone numbers in my head and being able to recall them at a moments notice, now i can remember one or two!... Would you partake in a social experiment that meant you had to live without your mobile for a week?, relying only on landline and letter based communication? (no e-mail messaging or skype, the point of the excercise is in retro communication)... Well, what do you think?....

Got 2 phones. one smart phone and one regular phone. My smart phone is dead now and I think I almost die...
Got rid of my mobile phone several years ago. I was tired of it. If it's important enough, someone will know how to get hold of me without instant access. I see 10-year olds wearing a blue tooth attachment every waking moment and texting constantly. Sad, truly sad.
Absolutely, it is the folks I know and the family that would have the problem....Half the time, I don't have it with me and drives everyone crazy....I could care less....

Mine broke recently, and I realized, I dont really need it. I have a home phone, skype on computer, Why am I paying for a cell phone. I didnt bother to replace it, and I havent missed it yet.
I grew up(maybe not) w/o and I'm sure if cellphone became obsolete again we would survive but I find them very useful in case of emergencies although I do not believe in texting(prefer to talk)...JMO.
I live in a different country from the rest of my immidiate family and don't have a landline.
If I only relied on skype I could get in touch with them but not them with me if they need to, unless I'm online. My parents don't have internet nor did my daughter till last week.
My mobile is important to me so that my children/parents can get hold of me at a moment's notice. I also use it for people to contact me for tuition, translations and interpretting jobs.
some how I need it but some of time I can live without it specially when I'm on my holiday. I have 2 mobile which one really for work & business and 1 just family know it. All my schedule work at mobile so will need it

My family does not have a mobile phone..It makes me so mad when you see people talking on them while driving or crossing the f....king street and not paying attention..then they get hit and blame someone else..
On the news yesterday it was reported that with the proper equipment every move you made can be tracked from your cell phone. Check out the link to find out what your phone tells others about you.

I woul be lost without mine..I use mine a lot while on the road going to work meetings and job sites..
My only mobile is a Crackberry from work... damn thing hate it and there have been times that it has stayed in work in my draw... like tonight for instance best thing to do with the thing. What amazes me are the people who are hooked on them what did they do before ???
Only reason for me to own one is my chosen hobby of motorbiking getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere with a flat tyre etc... sometimes Smoke Signals just don't quite work...

Burnouts are what's causing your flat tyres. Don't do them
I need my mobiles for work. I have to keep one on me at all times, and ensure a charge is there to make/take a call.
I can do almost everything I can do in the office from my phone, so it's quite essential to me.

I remember 'remembering' telephone numbers Unfortunately I don't do that anymore because I have them all on my mobile phone, so I guess I can't do without it ......not for a week, perhaps for a day or two.
