I am lost not because people can't reach me, for my phone rarely rings anyway, but the idea that I might need to make a call and wouldn't be able too frightens me
I feel more secure with it - I dont make a lot of calls on my mobile (altho with the plan Im on, it is cheaper to use the mobile for short calls, instead of using the landline), but I like knowing that if I get into any sort of strife...the phones there.
I guess that comes from, the times Ive accidently gone out with out it, somethings happened lol First time - locked the keys AND the phone in my house, when I was going out. Second time - was involved in a very scary road rage incident, where I was chased and almost run off the road, for about a 15 minute drive, very frightening.
I would be lost only because it is my rolodex. Every number I could ever need is in my phone. I have many unused minutes and the only time I use my cell is when the number I'm calling isn't a local number.
I would like to throw mine under a steamroller. I begrudgingly finally broke down and got one 2 years ago because or work. I am not fond of the idea of being available 24 hours a day.
yes, my mobile phone is very important for me. all the numbers, appointments, address, can do chat while im away or when im doing nothing while waiting for something, at least my hand have something to hold. im kind a addicted to it tho
My mob allows people to contact me for translations/interpreting/lessons and before I got connected (internet) was my only way to keep in touch with my family abroad

They do turn off you know!!!
There's also your own bounderies of WHICH numbers not to answer outside of working hours
PrinceForYou: Nah in fact I used to carry it with me everywhere, now I don't lol Well I don't when bike riding, but do when car driving, though it's off lol
No I would not be lost without it as I also have a Satnav
I am in the same situation as you. I dropped my phone in a spring about 4 weeks ago and killed it. Fortunatly I have a spare phone i always have laying around but now having got used to a touch screen phone I am struggling to get to grips with the old push button style mobile. The irony is the phone I damaged i hardly ever used as a phone but always used it for emails etc and that is what I miss most.
scanz: After dropping another phone in the river and a few days before i can get into town 4 a new 1, who else is lost without there mobile phone?.
I could care less about carrying a mobile phone.I was in business my whole life and probably was one of the first to have one. But,after I retired I really saw no compelling reason to carry one all the time{I`m probably somewhat addicted to this silly computer}....Now days the only occasion that I carry a mobile phone is when I travel by car on a jaunt now and then in the event that I have car trouble. When I go out of the country which seems to be quite frequent I don`t carry a phone and it suits me just fine.Hell......I don`t even wear a watch....
The mobile is my alarm clock at home. It sits in the vehicle while I am at work because of the security measures in the building. I am required to be reached 24/7 for my job because I am essential personnel that is the reason I have one.
