Do our votes really count?

Ek....I must admit, maybe it is too complicated for me to understand as well. That would be a benefit of this blog...help many like me to better understand.

But as long as we believe that the people vote in our leaders is what happens here in the U.S., I must say that is not the way I am seeing it.

Do our votes really count?

Hello Ish,

I am not sure who developed this system but I am sure it has been in place for a long time.

In my opinion, it is a clear example of how the rich and powerful use their resources to maintain control.

RE: Does patience pays off..

Kasih,

I believe positive people are more successful in life. I could be wrong but a good example is with the latest Super Bowl and Peyton Manning.

Peyton's only concern was to be loved by his team and his coaches...and it is a genuine love. His team was predicted to lose the Super Bowl, but they ended up dominating the other team.

I have paid a little attention to how people live who are negative and positive. It seems to me that the positive thinking people are not only happier in life but more financially successful. I agree with what you say.

It is on us as to how we perceive the world. It also helps to surround yourself with positive people as well and be mindful of the negative ones. It is okay for them to be negative...after all, they have the right to live their lives the way they wish. But, be careful not to let that negativity become you.

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

Okay Ish....I could do something like that. I don't think there would be any risk of broken bones or death like in the bull run. thumbs up

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

Okay Ish....thank you. I am seriously considering it. I need to start making life a little more exciting. By the way, I don't mind paying. :)

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

laugh Ish. Actually, here they will probably ask you if you want tomatoes on that.

I am starting to think that I need to get my passport and jump on an airplane and start traveling the world. I could start with Spain, if I had my own personal guide. grin

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

A sandwich? I thought that is where the man has two women on him? I guess you are right, I need to learn more about Spain. laugh

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

I think I might need to, too. :) All of your guidelines for dating you ladies, I can do...maybe with the occasional slipping up on #9 a bit. I can be critical at times. drinking

RE: Tips to date a Spanish woman

I always thought that Spanish women love Spanish rice and partaking in the Running of the Bulls too. confused

RE: The Revenant

Car...

Seen the movie myself. I cannot say it was a great movie but I like the message you got from it.

And...how you applied that message to your day-to-day life. Perhaps we should all start thinking of our daily motivations.

I think to answer your robot question....it is probably to make money to pay for your bills...so you can survive in the world of capitalism.dunno

I thought it was nice that somebody spoke up. He was very polite about it. But for it to lead to a potential fist fight. That is taking it a little too far. laugh

I am not going to ask if you wash or not. rolling on the floor laughing

Hello SR,

You bring up a very important point there. Every public bathroom should have papers to cover the seats with. I know some of those you have to manually build your own seat covers. laugh I couldn't imagine sitting on a seat that some stranger used.

Thanks SR...

Cats rule the internet. thumbs up

RE: Just Chilling...

*oops....on the phone right now....but...

No meds for me unless absolutely necessary. :)

RE: Just Chilling...

Who knows here CH...you may not have a choice. I am thinking if they feel you need meds, you are to be taking meds. I don't know.

I am the same way...no pills for me unless it is absolutely missing.

I very rarely feel down myself...usually busy...or go out to a new restaurant...see a movie...go to a bar...casino...bs on blogs...talk with friends and family....light traveling....just do something. :)

RE: Just Chilling...

I just heard yesterday that the Federal Government is "suggesting" doctors do psychological assessments on people...even when they go in for just a general check up.

So...

To answer your question....now days anyway...when you are feeling down, go get a prescription for depression medicine. It seems like the wave of the future, here in the states anyway. dunno confused

RE: Confused in California

I would say whatever age gap the people in the relationship feel is acceptable.

RE: Are We All Victims and Innocents?

Pepps, I always knew you were perfect. thumbs up

Hey Robert,

How are you doing? I swear that lady you show here looks familiar. I know. I got it. That is one of your ex's you blog about. So, you are speaking from experience? laugh

Thanks Robert. :)

Are we under attack?

RP, I agree with the benefiting to others as being more purposeful. Like Molly pointed out, selfishness is not a strange concept in today's society.

Thanks for your post.
