Jim is right complaining about this is not going to change the situation. It's hard to reply to someone when you are not interested in them. What do you say? Thank you but I'm not interested? How is this supposed to make the person feel better? If you say thank you for the flower the other person is usually encouraged. About the second situation I am familiar with that type. They seem to be interested and then stop writing. Most likely the found someone else. Nothing you can do about that either. Think it wasn't meant to be with that person.
@10K Hmm. You have a valid point. It's not really age that creates the maturity! I know some 40 year old men who act like 20 year olds. Running around with all different women as if they were in their 20's. I can understand somewhat. I think they are afraid of getting old. However, it is hard to understand where someone is coming from when there is a huge age difference.
I hate reading on a screen which is why I hate reading anything really long on the computer. I can see the convenience of e-books though. You can really carry a lot of your favorite books on one of those devices.
I love your blog especially about the pop tarts! I admit I love to see old people who really seem to love their partner! You're right; it seems quite rare!
@Jim depends on the parent. Some parents do poke and prod just a little too much its true. But I still think one loves them anyway! @10K I am just like you but not with my Dad. I was like that with my grandfather! I miss him very much!
RE: Dedication to my mom
I feel the same way about my Mom!
