Thank you, I keep going back to the 60s (what a time I had then, that is another story) we used to say to one another to "get real." I think that many people, and myself included, need to stop once in awhile and get real. You could not be more right when you say the political correctness is not correct! Thanks again.
I was just concerned that someone may have made you feel bad because all your posts are so optimistic. I had no intent of being critical, I just wanted to let you know that people care about you. When I see someone that is down and it is not characteristic of them, then I offer support or whatever I can do to help. Honestly, I did not intend disrespect. Your blog was thought provoking and I read each word. I am so sorry. I ask you to forgive me, please.

Perhaps you are right. Who knows, all I can say is that we were driving along at about 70 and he was doing fine, not even yawing and then all of a sudden we were so tired we could not hold our eyes open and could do nothing but go to sleep. We did not even recline our seats, just fell into the deepest sleep that I can ever remember before or after this happened. We slept on the side of the road for over 4 hours. It was one of the strangest experiences. My husband was not superstitious and he always complained that I put too much credit into God and angels. But, again who knows...we may have been just lucky.
Is this a true story? I do not know if you have ever been to Las Vegas, but the road that used to come in from AZ was a two lane road, one night while my husband was still alive, he and I were on our way home when he pulled off the road. I asked him why, he said that he was told to. I did not pay much attention to him. We were both exhausted and we both fell immediately asleep. The next morning we went on into Vegas and stopped at the first dinner we found and the waitress said that there had been a huge accident on the road we came in on. It seems that 8 cars killing 13 people had been in a massive pile up and it happened at the same time we pulled off of the road.
Angels were looking out after us that night. My husband would only say that he was told to pull off the road and neither he nor I heard anything or saw anything, we were that deep asleep.
True story. I have always believed in God and his messengers.
I will do my best to remain as bad as my years will allow. Now that is cryptic. What I mean, I will try to be good if badness does not get in my way, or is it I will try to be......oh, never mind.
What is there to say to that! When you are good, you are good! Or what Mae West said. Boys when you are good, you are good; but when you are bad you are excellent!
My friend you misunderstand, I was not questioning those people who earn praise and if you read the last of my blog you will see that complements that friends give to one another is automatic and in appreciation of quality. I believe that you do have quality and you are a gentleman who has never fished for a complement in his life.

Emotions, like everything that we were given at birth, should be used. I cry when I watch a sad movie or when a friend is having pain. I think that all humans have a right to cry, it does clean the soul.

I tried that one. Did not work. I also tried smelling rancid fish before and during smoking, did not work. Any other cures you would like to pass on? You know that my will states that I will be buried with two stogies and matches, so when I met up with my maker we can share one of his gifts to human kind.

You are correct, so much emphasis is placed on beauty and size. How sad because people are more than the external. People that has to tell you that they are beautiful, intelligent and so on make me tired! Too much ego and no substance.

I just read your blog and I have such empathy for you. I know that you must feel really helpless and your heart breaks when you see your grandson having breathing problems. Some say that it is just wishful thinking and it is a waste of time, but I believe in God so I will say a prayer for you, grandson, and family.
I am glad that his problem was caught early enough that you did not loose him. I can only pray that he heals sooner than the years anticipated.

Yes my sweet friend. All my stories are based on real things that happen in my life. I am old and I get bored, so I figured to keep my mind awake and youngish, I should write about the things that I notice. I hope that I do not tire you of reading my ramblings.

It is sad for me to say this, but go back to your profile and change your income to "prefer not to say." Many women are so materialistic that this may be the reason you are overlooked. Other than that, you seem like a real nice young man with a very healthy outlook on the world.
I will keep a light on and look for your arrival. It will be so much fun having you visit. I gave up the horses some time back, too expensive to feed. But, I do have a Jeep that we can take out to the desert and go 4 wheeling! Would you believe that I still go on hikes and camp out? I fish and go kayaking down the Colorado in the summer. My great grandchildren go with me, my grandchildren stay home and pray that I will hold up through another adventure....My sons think that I am crazy. But, who cares.
