All I certainly agree with your first paragraph, which suggests to me that everyone who bothers to write religious blogs has a communication problem and I'm not sure what that tells us.
Isn't that all part of the fun of it? Can only speak for myself but I've travelled to a couple of far away places, acquired young gf, went back to visit several times, etc etc. what's the point of spending all the time sitting behind your laptop?
I thought this blog was going to be something exciting, like how you accidentally killed someone and decided to bury them and were now trying to live with the consequences.
Ariel, an excellent idea. However I fear that the ultra sensitive brigade would get upset at any opportunity. Some people just can't help trying to force their own view of the world onto everyone else.
Ok thanks hunter, I will take care. Ariel, seems he doesn't really appreciate your questioning type of comments. I don't think he's alone in that, a lot of people on here seem to prefer to discuss the price of carrots rather than have any alternative opinions put forward.
Actually Mr Etlal to be honest I have absolutely no problem cooking veg food for friends or for anyone else, as for me I am very unfussy about food and am always grateful if someone cooks for me, whatever it is. I only wanted to see what veg people thought about this idea. I guess there are a lot of similar examples. What about smoking? I don't smoke but if I go to someones house where they smoke, should I expect them to not smoke for my sake? I would say of course not. But if a smoker comes to mine should I be ok if they just light up? Not so sure about that.
All education (before university) and healthcare in the uk is provided free. If you want to pay for it on a private basis then that's up to you as an individual.
Well maybe if your country didn't waste the aid which countries like the uk and others give to you sending rockets into space, you would be able to afford more education and healthcare ?
Well you seem a classic case of the truly selfish veggie, expecting others to cater for your taste but doing practically nothing to cater for theirs. Thank you for commenting, I was hoping that a sub normal would emerge from somewhere. By the way, the choice of words was deliberate, do you always rise so easily for the bait? I guess somehow the veggie brigade must also be the ultra so so sensitive brigade too, there must be a certain natural correlation.
Saskia you need to calm down dear, try de caff coffee or something. It's not a question of intolerance, it's a question of expectation. If I declare myself as a Meat Arian, does that mean if I am invited to a veggies dinner party I should expect to get a meat dish? And if not, why not? It's only an application of the principle which they adopt.
You called this blog 'mixed feelings', I sense 'wrong priorities' . Here is my prediction. You go away for a few days and spend them worrying about your CS gf. She on the other hand interprets your absence as meaning you are not that bothered. Result, end of virtual relationship. What you should do, make it happen with the girl before the trip to the Fatherland.
Sure, road is well made I agree. I only drove about 10 times in 8 years and the sat nav took me through Brussels. But cologne is the place, never should have left !
The very worst road is the Brussels ring road? I commuted to Germany for 8 years and whenever I drove the road to cologne took me through Brussels and the ring road. The only time it was ever ok was 2am on Sunday morning. As for france, I have property in the south and it's a beautiful country. Such a shame it's people don't match !
Which comments are you ranting about? You mean I have not got over the way our glorious forces liberated Iraq ? Or the way we are cleaning up Afghanistan ? Hopefully one day we will be able to do the same in that whole toilet region and the world will truly be a better place
Well I think Mr Non German clearly has emotional and psychological issues, possibly physical ones too. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to describe him in the words you have used, I am happy to use my experience of psychopathic disorders to try and help him, however he does need to first acknowledge he has a problem
Mr Simmo et al, all comments and views are most welcome, even those of crazy non Germans. It's true that in the spirit of free speech I don't mind giving it out from time to time and I don't mind taking it. No apologies required at all
Sorry choco I didn't mean to ignore your comment. I'm shocked, never had you down as a comment deleter, I wonder if old moonie would have done the same?
Mr Non German, it's kind of worrying that someone could take so much to heart the words of a complete stranger on the net. I really think you should get a life, move on and get over it
Simmo, a fair point well made. Personally I see the blogs as more of brainstorming (notwithstanding that some contributors are clearly lacking in that dept) and therefore technical ownership takes second place to right of delivery
RE: What I did last Summer
Ariel, you are - of course - correct. I will really have to stop making any more attempts to be subtle.
