@Shay: yeah, thats the idea i have, just havent gotten around to it yet!
@Prima: i am from India, and i am into poetry but i just havent had a chance to read various works of poets! Plus, i don't know even a word of Sanskrit, i'll say one-thing and she'll hear something else!
@Prima: wow! the rhyme actually made me visualise myself acting it out all dramatically like a play etc, imagine the look on her face if i start prancing around reciting this poem aloud!
@hotprincess88: thanks for the nice compliment Not a bad idea though, have never used the coffee line till now, just the fact that its so cliche might make my intentions clear and might just work!
@prima: you are just cracking me up! monsoon? still a few months to go, but would be very romantic to be stuck outside in the rain
and this poem, very nice, where and who is it from?
@Lily: thank you for the compliment, i know of the cultural problem that you talk of, very well. Let's see if i can muster a spark of intelligence while being dumbstruck by how cute she is!
Well personally i really do not have any experience where long distance relationships are concerned, but i'll share what i think/feel about the topic.
Make sure you know the person really well and know you can trust them, before you commit to anything.
Whether it is taking the leap of faith or the calculative approach, i would keep it at the back of my mind, that somewhere there is a chance something can/will go wrong(Murphy's law).
I used to be the jump all in kind of guy, but that changed. But on the other hand even if i jump all in and fail, i will not regret it, i will man up to the adversity that comes, because i made a choice, i need to stick with it even if it fails. But if it works out, all the more better!
well thats just your perception i guess, if you do a search on this site, im sure you'll find people from all over the world, and isnt that the point? to connect?
nope, you certainly are not, its like facebook, you can have thousands of friends, but only a hand few you talk to on a regular basis and only a couple who are very dear to you.
I have asked myself this question in the past. After watching years of romantic movies and sitcoms, i too wanted a "perfect soulmate" , so whenever i would meet a girl, instead of appreciating the qualities she had, i would "judge" her against my criteria of the perfect "one".
See the thing was, because of the fact that i was looking to find that special someone, i was failing. But its not about finding the perfect one, its about meeting a genuine person who loves you for who you are and is there for you and you are there for that person, this itself makes it perfect.
That said, even perfection takes work, although not as much when the couple is naturally in sync with each other, but it does take work. Take care! :)
@liveinhope: thank you for your comment, now i just try to get by without losing my cool. I have my good and bad days, somedays im positive that God does have a plan, other days , not so much.
@Ed: thanks for your comment too Ed, right now im just playing a wait and watch game, perhaps soon something better will happen, time will tell.
Cupid strikes again!
