I'm so picky L, my friend so when you send me better only only the red, tulips shaped beautiful ones. Did you know we import them roses flown in daily from Belgium? A friend of mine owns her flower shop in San Francisco and claims those healthy looking, gorgeous ones are from there. Although we have one of the biggest farm in San Joaquin valley. bouquet

Lind, It's ladies right to be picky when it comes to flowers bouquet Those roses sound lovely P and would brighten up my placewine

Being a proud atheist

I want to set the record straight

I started working on a voluntary basis for a registered animal sanctuary in 2006,then I worked voluntary for a registered children's charity and I am still working voluntary for another registered animal sanctuary, so I can safely say I have contributed in a positively to society by helping the needy animals and children.

There is nothing worse than people using profanity and making unfounded claims about folks they do not know, because as I just proved they are wrong about everything and I think they might just be a troll perhaps looking for an audience and reactionwink but no they can crawl back under that rock they came from, because I'm not taking the baitpeace

Why are you hiding...? if you wish to express your views... show your face. Let us know who we are chatting with... why be a toad under a shell?

Yes a new member cswelcome

If you stick around on the blogs for long enough you will get to know members without photos, besides how do we know that the photos on a profile are real anyway? CS allows us to choose whether or not we put up a photo or not and I choose not to, because I'm only here to chat and already have a girlfriendgrin

RE: Christian, Atheist, or Agnostic....

Dear calli, Yes we are free to choose what we believe in, yes it's best we don't participate in blogs that we can't contribute to in a constructive or civilised way and yes kindness does go a long waybouquet

Just wondering why we should be anything at all when it comes to what we believe or not believe. I am not an atheist even though I stay clear of gods and other stuff you need to believe in, in order for it to be real.
It is only believe that keeps God alive. Soon as most people stop believing in him, he will disappear like all the gods before him. dunno

Welcome back ekwave

Yes a very interesting point of view and something to think aboutwink

Being a proud atheist

Welcome dear callihug I have never been a religious person, but had to say prayers at school when I was young, only ever been to church a few times and once was my cousins wedding.

The origin of my family's religion was church of England and my mums father(my grand father)was a very strict man, who did go to church and made his children go also, but my parents have never been religious themselves and we have always had the freedom to decide.

I am not against religion itself as long as it is positive, peaceful and good, but when you see so many wars being fought over religious beliefs by fanatical, religious, cults of people without any regard for human life you have to question how much of a positive influence religion really is in this world.

Take takewave

RE: COMMON SENSE

Friend, How do we determine the intelligence of another person? Is it done by academic accomplishments or just knowledge of life experiences and the world?
I don't think common sense can be tout or learned and you either have it or you don'tlaugh

With regards to choices of partner being determined by common sense or academic intellect I would have to say common sense, but honesty, kindness, trust, communication and understanding were key personality traits I was also looking for before I met my girlfriend and she does tick all those boxeswave

Being a proud atheist

Friend, You are correct in saying that I oppose cults, extremists and fanatical religious groups that are un-accepting of others beliefs, but I am not opposed to any religion that is non-judgemental, peaceful and good.

I would never suggest that being an atheist gives anyone the excuse for being a bad person and we are all accountable for the live's we live on this earth no matter what are beliefs are.

I am just putting across my view point on this subject and stating that as long as we are good people on this earth does it really matter what happens to us when we leave this earth.

Cat, We all have brains and some are easily influenced by manipulation, but others are strong enough to think for themselves and be free from manipulative influence of others.

Mountain, We are all free to agree or disagree as long as we are respectful to the one's we don't agree with when we dowave

Being a proud atheist

Smart, Yes very good point and we are all free to believe what we want to and be friends with who we want to, but the problem arises when fanatics claim we are not good people or won't go to heaven just, because we don't believe in the same thing that they do and may more wars will be fought between them sadlywave

Being a proud atheist

Welcome Red, Yes we as individuals determine our own destiny's and for me we can only control what happens around us while we exist on this earth, so do we really care what happens to us when we leave this earth? I would have to say no as long as we have have been a good person to others, fair and caringwine beer
