In some countries, someone could still be stoned to death if they suspect they're dishonoring their family...honor killings! A very very sensitive issue but people talk that it is still happening, the murderer gets away for protecting 'family's honor' doh:
HI ZEU, I WAS QUIET A HANDFUL BUT I COULD NEVER LIE SO I ALWAYS PREPARE MYSELF FOR THE PUNISHMENT THAT WOULD SURELY COME, LUCKILY MY GRANDMA WAS ALWAYS THERE TO PROTECT ME...
That water filter reminds me when I first apply for a job...weeks before I graduated from University my friend and I were so excited to finally apply for a job...we applied to the first vacancy we saw, sales job, during interview they said, if we could pass the test, then we're in. The test was to sell water filter for 2,500 pesos, which is almost 50 dollars, that was 15 years ago. I didn't go out knocking on someone's else to sell it, my cousin did me a favor and bought it so I can get the job...I gave them the money and lost interest and didn't even work there. Few weeks later, right after graduation,I got a job as a sales coordinator, this time for leathergoods, didn't involved knocking on strangers' doors, thank God!
Bung, habeebi you're quiet a catch but I will have to say NO to all of your requests but if you managed to come here at your own expense, I'll welcome you here @ buy you a cup of coffee and show you around some nice places here.
Cat...you've just reminded me of myself when I was a teen...sorrounded by three brothers and around 20 boy cousins on my father's side of the family...growing up with them wasn't so bad till I reach 16 and many young men started to pay attention to me! My brothers and cousins were very protective and would threaten any young man who'll come near me! I never had the chance to go on a date with anyone there...I met and dated my husband here and I feel so relieved cos they're not here to follow me around!
Cat... that remark reminds me of my dad...I have 3 brothers, he said they're easier to tame than me...I ended up in a convent school when I started high school...he said he's better off if I'm in there
