Many things relax me from walks, playing my guitar, reading, watching tv, sitting and meditating but the one thing that relaxes me the most is spending time with the people I love.
One remedy for Charlie Horses is to drink water. Usually people get them when they are dehydrated. They start in your legs because they are are the furthest from your heart.
Good blog. I enjoy reading others blogs when they share a little bit of themselves. As you said, what your day was like, what you are doing, etc. But I also think that asking for advice is good too. OR sharing a poem or something written by someone else is good too. These are all ways of expressing oneself. What ever your blog, I say go for it. Don't hold back.
I agree. There is nothing wrong with that picture. I just looked at it. You can CLEARLY see it is you AND you are not trying to hide the fact that it is from 93. I love throwback pictures. They are fun! Besides you look very cute in that picture.
To live our lives as we want or wish is an amazing accomplishment. Unfortunately I believe that we are too influenced by others that we come into contact with during our lives. If that person happens to be someone we love then changing for that person I what we want even if it was not our initial dream or wish. That comes when we follow or hearts.
To go through the motions is worse than not following our heart or living the life someone else has laid out for us. That means we don't care. Even if we are following someone else's plan for us then at lease we are striving for something.
I don't think we can blame George Orwell or the movies. We need to blame all the IDIOTS out there who sue for everything and nothing in today's society. It is the same people who tell us not to play the national anthem, say the pledge of allegiance, this or that show should not be on TV because I just don't like or believe in what it is saying.
It all started when we took GOD out of our schools and country. We are a country of helicopter parents and over zealous parents. We are raising a generation of children who cannot think for themselves AND have not learned that not everyone wins or gets an award or is the best at what they do.
I learned not to do things because my parents let me fail, fall down, get picked last for the team, not win, etc.
I think I turned out ok. I weep for the future and it is OUR fault.
Sorry for the rant but you touched a nerve. But I do agree with you.
Good luck to all of the athletes at the up coming Olympics. What a great honor to represent you country. My hope is that they all preform to the best of their abilities and do their country proud.
Leah, I agree. Dr. King wanted so much more for this world. He was and is such a great man. We ALL need to carry on his work to make this a world of equality to live in.
It takes a very special person to recognize how much a person has and does love them. He is a beautiful person. You are luck to have each other. Happy birthday to your son and congratulations to you for raising such an honorable and loving son.

Leah I have so many songs that I am having a hard time picking. But thanks for posting this one. As for an answer to the question in the song, most men I know have a hard time telling those that they love what they really, truly want and need.
Andie, unfortunately I do not believe that anyone is going to be able to give you the answer you are looking for EXCEPT you, yourself. In these things I believe the answer is different for each of us and we have to search for it ourselves IF it is to be the answer we need. I could tell you the answer but with out the search you will not be able to understand it. It is the search for the answer that gives the answer the complete meaning.
