Thought provoking blog!. But remember that in the USA separation of church and state just means that the government cannot tell you what church to belong to if any. It does not mean they should be able to tell you where to practice but they seem to think they can.
So very true. If you change for someone other than your self then you are not being true to yourself. Now another totally different idea is to change because of someone else. That means they have influenced you and as a result you decide to make yourself better so you change.

Lk, in my very humble opinion there are many things that science can explain very well, BUT when it comes to those things it cannot explain LIKE LOVE I say throw out science and go your you heart. At least that is what I do!
I have had days at work where I'm not focused. As a teacher my students pick up on that. They can tell something is distracting me. Usually they want to know what is wrong. Children are very perceptive. Even adults can pick up on our different moods. Unfortunately they are so consumed with their own lives they don't notice or care to ask why!

@Raven - I love classic rock. That is what I listen to most of the time on the radio. However, I am not a good enough guitar player to be able to play that SO, I mostly play folk music from the 60's, which is good because I like it too.

@benni, I disagree. People who trash any kind of music are not listening to the words. Personally I like some heavy metal. It has to speak to me. The words need to have meaning. Give it a try sometime.
When I took intro many moons ago I found it interesting but I really thing that as you go deeper you will enjoy it more. Intro touches on many different areas. After that class all of the other classes start to specialize. It is then you will learn if you really like the subject.
