Mine is made of plastic. Easy to mend; only needs a bit of glue. Does not look so nice anymore with all the cracks and mends in it but still functional. Get yourself one of them.

I wore out a cassette playing it on the way to and from work when I was at this one salon. These songs are so embedded in my soul it is like they are part of me. Always sang them every day. They helped me express all the emotions I had inside me at that time. I'm sure everyone has their own way, or song.
