RE: It's A Festivus - For The Rest Of Us! || From '14

LOlz, I detect a bit of scrooge in this blog. grin

RE: Just Want To Say

Merry Christmas to you too, Jim. I always enjoy your blogs and comments. God bless you. banana

RE: The Miracle of Christmas

This song has been on my heart...will post it first then read the rest of your blog.

RE: In hospital

Hi Mimi,

I hope they are taking good care of you in the hospital. Thank God for the kindness of the lady that sent you to there. I believe He is taking care of you even though you may not know it. In any case, I'm glad you're okay. Hang in there. Life is worth enduring the hard times. teddybear

RE: Care?!

You'll be okay, Mimi. teddybear

RE: RE:HIGH-PROFILE KILLINGS OF BLACK MEN

Unfortunately, this guy is from Pittsburgh. Haters live everywhere I suppose, but for the record, his mentality is not representative of Pittsburgh or PA for that matter.

RE: "THE OLE DISAPPEARING ACT"

I believe the hate-spewing kingmouth was deleted, and if so, I for one am grateful.

RE: Any suggestion for my best friend?

I think Ed is 100% correct on all counts. She should keep the guy as a friend (if she likes), but nothing more.

RE: Trekkies?

On a serious note, you are not the only trekkie in here.

On a more serious note, the loss of a life is a tragedy and I hope (somehow) they get to the bottom of the cause and prevent further loss of life.

RE: Not in a good mood today!

Postneoludite, how could I forget the Monty Python skits! High octane humour...perhaps too potent for the uninitiated? grin

RE: Not in a good mood today!

Hi Mimi,

In one of the best books I've ever read, the authors indicate (paraphrased for the sake of time) that the feeling of loneliness is a good thing. It's like when we feel hungry, that hunger prompts us to eat (hopefully healthy food). Without energy and nutrients we would become weak and eventually would die.

Likewise, the feeling of loneliness causes us to seek relationship with God and with others. Without relationship, we would become weak and possibly die...or wish for death.

Loneliness isn't healthy. It's painful. It's the starvation of our soul.

Our souls need relationship as desperately as our body needs food. Let those feelings of loneliness cause you to seek (healthy) relationship with God and others.

People here care about you. I see it every time you post a blog, and also when you are missing from the blogs. Let this be an encouragement to you.

RE: marriage((responsibility/busy life/unhappiness))

If your friend wants things to be better with his wife then he should talk to his wife. Maybe he's not trying to be a good husband and father. Being the mother of small children is hard work too.

RE: A True Love Story!!

I'm with you, Ed. I love stories like that. Thanks for sharing. applause

RE: Organic

Mimi,

You don't find organic men. They find you! grin

RE: Organic

Sorry, Z. Not all men are organic. banana

RE: Organic

I have an organic man. And he gives me the best organic kisses! grin

RE: Apologize

Mimi,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you are okay. I think you will find that you have many friends here. Please keep in touch. hug

RE: CS members would you get suspicious if your partne

Of course, being a couple does not mean that you are not still 2 individuals with activities and relationships outside of the couple. That should be a given. In fact, absence (a little space) makes the heart grow fonder... grin

RE: why oh why

The default pic looks just like me! And I had no idea I had so many lookalikes out there! grin

RE: tdehner

Your picture is pretty dark and difficult to see. I'd suggest one that is easier to view. Also, make sure to smile! grin

RE: Unwanted Unborn Child

Is it ethical to determine one's ethics based on subjective criteria? If so, then ethics become nothing more than the decision of the one who prevails...regardless of who that happens to be.

RE: Whose judgement is better? Men or Women?

Men or Women...Women or Men, we are but different sides of the same human coin. Neither is superior nor inferior. Men do not own logic any more than women own emotion. Get over it guys. Just because you don't understand women doesn't mean we don't understand you...because we surely do. And that makes us a huge step ahead of (most of) you.

For anyone that thinks my comment is not politically correct enough...I don't care. banana

RE: Dining with your cell phone.

Lol, I know how it is. Even my sons keep their cells near them when we dine together - which isn't often!

If and when it crosses the line with me I will say something. Otherwise I try to roll with the times.

RE: Breaking News...

Apparently the occupier of the WH has had detailed reports of the buildup of isis for a year, and has had multiple opportunities to nip this human plague in the bud.

RE: 25 Things People in Great Relationships Do NOT Do

This is a great list...and a great subject for a blog on single's site! thumbs up banana

RE: gout diseases...

I think there's a lot of great advice posted here and I just wanted to commend everyone that took the time to offer advice and encouragement for this friend of SA's. Also, I commend SA for seeking advice for her friend.

To me, this is one of the awesome things about CS members!

tip hat thumbs up teddybear
