FlyJames: I love all women be you black white drown yellow greay ,or some mix up colors it matters not to the Fly.. No woman No cry.
Hey Fly, thanks for your comments... yeah, you sound like most men who are lovers of ALL WOMEN ...you just love ALL the women: red, yellow, black, or white, all women are precious in your sight!
FlyJ.:When you are a black woman you seldom get to do what you want to do, You always do what you have to do.. Dorothy Height....
Now this quote is so beautiful and true. Thanks for sharing in my Black History salute. Lady Height finds herself as a pioneer on a greater plain than Lady Maya... SHE is the mother of African America Women and all women in our path to becoming strong women of equal rights and grace. I did a presentation on her sometimes back. Thanks
Hello Socrates, Yes, yes, Lady Maya Angelou left a great legacy of literature for us in her poems and other writings. She was awesome!
I love that poem I Rise, it reflects the struggle of not only the once cast down African America woman, but women in general... and not only that, but it is a ray of hope for any person who feels broken and down, this poem will inspire a person to rise up above the occasion of brokenness and life struggles, and take authority over whatever has him/her down in the dust heaps.
Thank you for sharing this poem as part of my salute to the African American/Black Woman for Black History Month.
Itchywitch, likewise i have no idea who the author is but i do know who the author is NOT... A BLACK WOMAN
Hey there Itchy, Thank you for your comment. I would like to know how is it that you know the author of this piece WAS NOT a Black Woman?... I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this. Thanks
Hey LJ, you just might have something there :laugh... where is EK?...
Hi Rose, yes we're searching for a woman that has been reported missing, gone from CS, but no one seem to know who she is, or when she left... so we're looking for her...... just goofing around trying to figure out if this a rumor, gossip, or what, and who she might be... the Roll Call is for all CS ladies to check in, maybe we will be able to find out who is missing from blog-land or the forums.
thanks for checking in. BTW, your English is fine, better than most of those who were born in English speaking countries who still can't speak English correctly
Itchy and Shay have checked in for Roll Call, so we know they're not missing
Itchy:... but nahhhh shes too much of a tough cookie to be ran out of town by anyone gobshoite... Right, tough people don't run very easily or too fast... nobody runs Marshall Dillon's twin out of Dodge
Capi.. if not for Easter, you think maybe she'll be home for Christmas .. I'm beganning to wonder if the missing CS female is for real since no one seem to know who she is, or even that anyone is missing... maybe the Fly made it all up to get everybody stirred
Hey Angelface You haven't heard anything either?
This is really a CS mystery!...How to Get Away Missing From CS Without Even Trying! ... what does that tell ya?...
aaww...The Fly has checked in on Roll Call, but he still hasn't given out any information. Leaves me no choice but to interrogate him: 1> Fly, what was this missing female wearing the last time you saw her profile photo?
2> What country is she from?
3> What is her ethnicity?
4> Who were her friends?
5> Have you contacted those in her blog-land cycle to find out if they have heard from her?
6> How is it that you know she is missing, and she didn't just leaving on her own without any problems as the cause or reason for leaving?
7> When is the last time you've read a blog or her comments on a blog from this missing female?
Callio, a friend request just might be the start of something GREAT! So don't receive it as a let down of what you feel inside for this person... receive and believe, maybe this is a spiritual test, you know how God works and does things in our lives, to see if we appreciate the little things before He blesses us with the bigger things.
Maybe this is how this fellow feels is a way to be close to you, and upon communicating with him, this just may open the doors for HIM to feel free to express his true inner feelings toward you. This does not mean he doesn't feel toward you as you feel toward him, he just may be thinking the same as you, and the friend request is his way of expressing himself until he has enough courage to express his feelings to you...
As the old saying goes: winners never lose... and losers never win. Why is this?.. because winners never give up, and losers always quit before the race is over!
Follow this through and allow HIM be the one to tell YOU he's not into YOU like that... not you talking to yourself about what YOU think of how he may, or may not feel toward you.... that's jacked!
MOMO, I PRAISE THE LORD WITH YOU! ... and I also, PRAY you didn't have to pay his fair for him to come to you... and he is, who he has presented himself as being in the Lord, after meeting and spending time with each other.
MOMO, I PRAISE THE LORD WITH YOU! ... and I also, PRAY you didn't have to pay his fair for him to come to you... and he is, who he has presented himself as being in the Lord, after meeting and spending time with each other.
Hey Callio, thanks for checking in on Roll Call.. we don't know because Fly and Jarred want tell us the name of the person THEY THINK is missing, so I decided to do a Roll Call.
Hey Fly...sssshhhh (whispering).. just between you and I...you can tell me and this will be our little secret...ssshhhh... just between you and I... and no one else will know but the two of us.... ...ok, I'll settle just for the initials...sssshhhhh
What's the big secret anywayzzz??? no one knows who it is therefore, if she is gone, no one seems to be missing...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAT! ... AND do chill out! All this has much to do about nothing... have a coffee on me and keep your spirit lifted. Its YOUR BIRTHDAY, so enjoy!
Itchy, I think its the same thing that happens to many women who reach the 63 mark, I even went through it ... its called, "Oh NO!... not I! ... I'm almost 65!... that's old age, time for medicare, senior benefits and discounts, and every little thing and EVERYBODY GETS ON MY LAST NERVE!!!" ... so its normal and many men don't know they will experience this aging emotional feeling
Cat, don't allow yourself to be drawn into the spider's web! ... maybe its the hang-over that's making you a bit edgy from last evening from the parting with your nice friends.
Halvo, as for intermediaries yes, God still uses His called and anointed servants to speak His messages, this is our purpose as Christians and for those who are called as ministers, pastors, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and preacher, to speak God's Word of truth to the lost and the body of Christ. The Apostle Paul so writes in Ephesians chapter 4, that God has called into the church those whom He has chosen to equip the body of Christ with the gospel... it is our reasonable duty as Christians, and ministers and servants, whom God has given His Word and insights into the things of God, to tells others the message God desires for them to hear. Jesus commanded the Great Commission, to GO into all the world(meaning our neighborhoods, communities, homes, etc.) with the gospel of God (not our own gospel), but the gospel of our Lord teaching people to observe all things regarding the kingdom of God. We are commanded throughout the New Covenant (Testament) to be His witnesses.
When the Apostle John speaks "no man need teach you"... he is not speaking about telling others the message about Jesus, he is speaking about no man needs to teach you the depths of the spiritual knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of God's holy Word the in's and out's of it that only the Holy Spirit can teaches us. John chapter 14. The Holy Spirit Himself will teach us all things concerning the holy personhood, personality and character of GOD, and bring into our remembrance those things we need to know, and of those things we don't know. God also tells us that there will come a time when people will hear and know the gospel for themselves, because God Himself will write His Word on the tablets of our hearts. This does not mean we need no teachers, otherwise, how can those God has called as ministers into the church equip the saints with the gospel? Ephesians chapter 4.
The Apostle Paul teaches us that, the lost cannot hear or come to believe by faith in the accomplished works of Jesus' death on the cross, unless they FIRST HEAR the gospel... and how can they HEAR without a preacher?... and how can a preacher preach UNLESS he has been sent by God, for it is BY HEARING AND HEARING THE GOSPEL ONE IS LED TO BELIEVE BY FAITH. Romans chapter 10.
CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, God is still speaking to each of us today, in many ways and through many people, places, and things in creation, signs and wonders... THE PROBLEM IS, many are just not listening IN ORDER TO HEAR. GOD still speaks His love, peace, comfort and warning to all of us.
You're so right, God Himself does not dwell (live) in a church building or a book... BUT His Holy Spirit in Presence and Anointing lives in a church building and is felt in both the church building and book (words) of the Holy Bible. God dwell inside of every Christian believer who has received Jesus Christ into his/her heart... again, John chapter 14, lets us know that not only does the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us, but God through Jesus Christ also takes up residence inside of us when we become saved. We are GOD's body (building) therefore, He does not give up His dwelling place, we become His dwelling place.
And just because we become His dwelling place, this does not forfeit our coming together as Christian believers in a church building that has been set aside for Christians to gather in one accord, we are to be in obedience to God's Word. God exhorts and admonishes all believers not to FORSAKE gathering ourselves together to worship and praise Him in spirit and in truth... this does not mean because God lives on the inside of us, we are to stop attending church or gathering together in a building.
Our gathering together in one place is to increases our faith in unity; encourage one another; to hear a word (message) from the Lord; sing praise to God; to strengthen one another, to stir up the spiritual gifts God has given each other, as one body in communion with Christ. Hebrews chapter 10.
Mimi, you are such a beautiful young lady, and may God bless you in all things for your good deed toward the young man who took your photos... he's good! May God also heal his body of his cancer...
Loulou, I see you quote CS Lewis on a poster, his material is among favorite theologians of mine... what a great writer, teacher and preacher of the gospel!
Good thoughts Usha... flushing a Holy book down the toilet does not reduce or lessen a person's FAITH TO BELIEVE. They burned many Bible trying to stop Christianity, but the Holy Bible is still the best selling book in all of history and the contents of it has proven its self to be of a truth since the beginning of the Old Covenant.
Flushing or burning or trying to destroy a Holy book has not one thing to do with a person's faith, nor does it have one thing to do with what is written in that Holy book... as the Apostle Paul so states, if a person wishes to be ignorant after hearing the truth, let that person remain ignorant.
Christians are taught to contend/fight for the faith, but this does not mean going out killing anyone just because that person does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Contending/fighting for the faith simply means, to take a strong stand to correct those who do not know the truth of the Lord who do not know what we as Christians know by faith to believe in Jesus... and they speak out information that is incorrect.
As Christians, after trying to correct a person, if that person receives, PRAISE GOD! If that person does not receive... then we are taught to shake the dust from our feet and leave that person alone, because he/she is a heretic forever learning but never coming to an understanding of what is truth, and what they speak falsely condemns themselves.
There is nothing that can come up against the truth except the truth its self... killing a person because someone refuses to accept the truth of another's faith, proves that that person's faith is false to start with...
I sense that many comments on this blog are defending and speaking about a PEOPLE instead of a RELIGIOUS FAITH OR BELIEF.
So, what is meant by a "GOOD MUSLIM"? I think it should be made very clear that being a Muslim is NOT ABOUT A RACE OF PEOPLE, BUT A RELIGIOUS BELIEF AND FAITH... or is being a Muslim about a race of people? Everybody from a Muslim country IS NOT A MUSLIM...
Is being a GOOD MUSLIM the same as being a GOOD BAPTIST, OR A GOOD CATHOLIC, OR A GOOD METHODIST?... if so, then the discussion should so reflect that no one is putting down a people, but a religious faith and belief system ... just asking for clarity as not to stereotype ALL people from MUSLIM countries as MUSLIMS.
I would think that maybe the topic matter would be better served if it was titled "WHERE ARE THE TRUE MUSLIMS OF FAITH OF THE WORLD"
Semsu: as you say, murdering anyone is a crime of hate, but I'm still suspicious about the real motive and even more suspicious about the medias low activity???
Yes, and there is no doubt in my mind that this crime was not a spare of the moment crime, that it was premeditated. After all, when given much consideration, that only one or two days before these evil hateful murders, media announced about that beautiful white college girl who was confirmed killed by ISIS, and her mother was on television crying in sorrow... what greater moment of revenge with an excuse to kill in protest as payback, three college foreign students who were Muslims?... I'm just saying
Angelface: All human race matters! People are people. No matter what their race or religion are. They are still humans..
yes, indeed! All people are human and are to be treated equally no matter the crime, religion, or race. But this is not so in society, and people make up what we call society... therefore, the problems of equality lies within the hearts of those who make up society. Thanks for sharing.
So, What If I Am?...
Xuan, I love black. I have some black friend, they are beautiful, charming and clever, I love them. I love you.Hi Xuan, Thank you for your comments. Where have you been lately?
