This is a topic that has been thoroughly debated here many many times before. Several bloggers feel the same as you and get frustrated by it, but the overriding view is that cs blogs follows the 'freedom of choice' principle. So if you don't want to allow comments, it's your choice.
There are so many different types of people here Graema. Some are just fun and funny, others are serious and philosophical, some are shall we say ' one brick short', some are sad and pitiful.
There seems to be a type that constantly post blogs that don't allow comments. They are usually troubled, attention seeking but lack the self confiidence or people skills to take part in any debate. Best thing is to just let it go and enjoy yourself on the blogs.
OB - I remember getting my first record-player! What a thrill. It was made by that now completed buried by the Japanese explosion' british electrical company 'Bush' It had a neat auto arm reset when the record had finished and it had an amazing 10 record stacker...that dropped the next disc to play on top of the previous one ( which always failed miserably if you piled more than 3 records on it!) The first record that I bought to play on it was a 45 single.'Night of the Long Grass' by the Troggs...haha
Strange thing, but the British Royal family are always more popular the Commomwealth states ( for those that don't know, that's countries that used belong to the British Empire). There's more flag waving and general glee shown towards them when they head for Canada, Australia/NZ, India...and so on and so forth than they ever get in the UK.
So Pat, we'll tear apart Buckingham Palace brick by brick, rebuild it on the Gold Coast....and you can welcome them. Including their huge tax-burden and their fabulously wealthy lifestyle.
Wondered how long it would take to drag you here Cach.
Just make sure if you are there applauding..that you identify yourself. I will probably have been drooling at you from the stage all night and never have realised!
RE: RIGHT TO REPLY
Graeme, yes a dislike button sounds fair enough. But for me, a lack of likes means everyone must dislike it anyway...lol
