I have a wood/coal range for backup hot water and cooking. For lighting, kerosene lanterns as a backup. Refrigerator, radio, TV, computer etc I can run from a car battery using a power inverter if need be. Have wood burner and gas for house heating.

The motion you speak of is restricted to a quantum level. (C) No. The peaks and valleys will reduce to a state of equilibrium, so the local effect would be fleeting.
