My dad drove trucks for over 25 years. Come in on Friday nights, back out on Sunday nights. Later on he was driving for another company making a lot of short trips and could be home daily. Hard job and not enough pay for what you guys go through. My friend, John, also drove trucks and he would leave out and be gone for a month at a time, living in his truck basically.

My week used to run like this. I'm back on 12 hour shifts now and work the 3-2-2 schedule so it's just a matter of making it through a few days at a time now. UNLESS there is overtime! Oh yeah....the dagger in the heart. laugh

Funny to come across this blog this morning. I just got passed up for a job I put in for within the company I work for. No good reason was given. I was told that I was expected to put in for the job again if it should come available in the future. My best guest is I was missing some body parts essential for them to think I could do the job well. Their loss.... (wish there was a middle finger emoticon).

There are several national and state parks that I want to visit all over the United States. Yellowstone, Glacier, Yosemite, etc. But the one thing that I really want to do is get back out to Arizona and see Sedona again and visit a really good friend that I met on here several years back. He told me we could take his Harley and ride up to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. This is bucket list stuff for me.
