@stargazer111 So why do you use the Internet at all? Because it's there or because without it we'd be basically stuffed for communication on a meaningful level? I think the Internet has definitely changed us beings and not so much in a good way. Sure, we can say what we like here and have communication and that may seem satisfying but how much does it add to our happiness about life? Anyway, I just wanted to say this.
@Herbal Sure, I am using the Internet to "propagate" my message but my message was not attacking TV or the Internet, just the fact that our human face to face contact is diminishing. If I could live in a community whereby I could speak and converse with many people each day and feel happy in the their company, I may not use the Internet at all, but I don't and this is difficult to find. I admit, I often feel lonely because I don't have others to share with and so I use the Internet to reach out but it's a poor substitute for real face to face communication.
Hi Krinka, Thank you, I agree, one should have a heart which is open to love but as you say, often it is our past which overshadows our feelings.
Ekself, I totally agree with you, although feeling the love inside is by no means easy, it's all a bit nebulous. I think total appreciation of life, whatever it brings, really helps.
ChesneyChrist, yes, our independence creates a lot of our loneliness.
Molly Baby, Thanks. I think depression is often a reaction to a world of trouble and without love. Sensitive people are especially prone.
So Daniela, You want your man to pay you full attention even when he's driving? This could be dangerous. Anyway, my post is not about mathematics, just that we don't have to have one person to give us all we need - all our eggs in one basket. Relationships are often more like ownership and that's also dangerous.
It seems I have to post a comment to reply to the comments of others, I can't reply directly to one or the other?
I enjoy reading the comments of others, even if they contradict my own thoughts.
Thanks Itchywitch for your kind words of warning. "so called friends that are always there for you". Sure, I understand that but I'll take the risk. I guess I'm like a little puppy who wants to make friends with everyone, at least until they kick me. I believe that underneath the exterior of "I am" is another person, one they probably don't know. Also everyone can teach us something. "no one is all they seem to be". That's right because we all don't know who we truly are. Thanks also for the video, it's good to look on the funny side.
Yes, Daniela, friendship is a "two way thing", I quite agree. And also what you put into a friendship, you don't always get back. I have been let down and probably I have let others down too. I think close friendships are important because they help us to see things we can't.
Power cut - where were you when life ended?
