Fundamentals will matter at some point. As of now it's a meme stock. I wouldn't touch it but that doesn't mean it won't go higher, for a while at least. Trump won't be able to sell any shares for 6 months because of lock-up.
I know he played on Stephen Stills solo album. In those days there were limited tracks, anyhow he laid down a great solo but said afterward he could do better.. so he tried again but never achieved what he did in the track that was written over..
I like those early Steve miller albums. Number 5 is a great album. Charlie McCoy did some outstanding harp tracks on tunes like "Going to the Country."
Yeah I remember when quadraphonic sound was going to be the next big thing. I guess the masses weren't interested. I had a Marantz stereo amplifier and added a Marantz tuner in the mid 70s. Sometime in the 80s I replaced those not knowing they would someday become quite valuable. Which reminds me of those Topps baseball cards I had that I gave away, not knowing I had a fortune building there too.
It sounds like you had some nice stereo gear back in the day. I can remember wanting a Dual turntable but they were kind of expensive so I got something else. I never got around to playing the Beatles records backwards…
There's a great album "Delaney & Bonnie & Friends With Eric Clapton On Tour." It was recorded at the end of '69. Harrison went along on that tour but didn't get album credits.
George wasn't into Sgt. Pepper. His thing was Indian music at that time and learning the Sitar. He was a fast learner. In a few years he would get interested in slide guitar after touring with Delaney & Bonnie and became very good at that as well.
When George walked out of the 'Let it Be' sessions Lennon had said he would ask Clapton to replace him. As it turned out Harrison wasn't out long and there was no need to replace George. The 'Let it Be' sessions were just prior to Abbey Road.
When I was a condo owner in the 80s it always bugged me when the HOA went up at a higher rate than inflation. According to google "On average, owners in Florida can expect to pay between $100-$500/month in association dues." $100 sounds like a bargain, in any state.
I read Sting's biography. He talks about Copeland some. It was Copeland's idea to name the band 'The Police.' Sting wasn't that enthusiastic about it but went along with it. Copeland was an American living in England at the time.
Interesting. I like reading about the wrecking crew and Carol Kaye. Jamerson is a legend. I just finished reading the Leon Russell biography and that gave a lot of insight into the wrecking crew.
You must be a bass player. I can tell the difference in sound of an upright bass from an electric bass and that's about it. I like the sound of an upright with a small ensemble, usually jazz.
I never got to see him in concert. Dang. His shows seemed to sell out fast around here. He had some talented guys in his band. Sad day in parrot-head land.
I always thought it was their best album. I know they intended it to be their best album as they wanted to go out on top. Rolling Stone readers picked Revolver however.
I didn't know until later that Let it Be was recorded before Abbey Road. There are so many stories about both albums and how the band was starting to disintegrate.
I thought the 'Get Back' film provided some insight into what was going on with them at the time.
When love happens you won't have much you can do about it. It just happens. That's why they say "fall" in love. You fall... then you land some place good, hopefully.
The Rolling Stones named themselves after a blues song and always said they loved the blues. They didn't record that many blues songs though. Just a few that I know of.
RE: Owning a piece of Trump... stock
