It's very straight edged and masculine, but presumably the ideal is to appeal across gender. If it has been a chi-shaped X it could have been a less obscure bird imae as well as having masculine and feminine elements.
A more mascuine presentation kinda says, "Freedom of speech for all men; everyone else not so much."
A bit like, "Freedom of speech for all those who can pay for a check mark and ten times the character count; everyone else not s much."
I think Musk is missing social nuance on his social platform to the extent that it's not really living up to it's unique selling point.

I agree with you and believe people should stop believing mainstream media as it is very easy to see through their manipulation and lies.
Censorship is the first sign of manipulation and lack of fair play.
It isn't just a change of logo it's much more complex than that.
