Remembering those bloggers who are no longer with us...
I'll scroll through some old emails or check photos in my phone and come across someone who passed on. While I'm not close to any CS members, I do remember those bloggers who were an active part of the CS community and are no longer with us.Nearly a year ago, Willy passed away.
A few years now that wenever left us.

How? How can anyone remain at one set of forums for that long? This is rumored to be a dating site not REDDIT or GOOGLE GROUPS.
Same with inbox/outbox, one woman said she had 93 pages of inbox.
Maybe I'm just a drifter.
I'm so used to information changes, first chat rooms, then the internet and ISP news groups, then blogs, now this.
I guess I never expect anything to remain constant.
First pc was like 94, win 3.0.
A lot has changed.

We talk of Willy.
He had a decade of health issues.
Lost a leg from diabetes.
Got COVID and was in ICU and actually pulled though.
I knew the guy probably 20 years.

I am best alone or with a single woman.
A lot5 of people can't handle alone.
Personally my family was uncaring so I have no concept of what that should feel like.
I understand why they were that way but I don't understand why they never tried to be better people.
Loss brings pain to many people.
Do you know the thing about the last person remembering you dying?
That is when you die.
No more memories everything forgotten.
I always liked this mortality and our great works well the poem is best read.

Not everyone feels the need to be on here every day to rant about what they think the world can't do without!!
A few from CS have passed. Jeepers was one who I think is the most remembered.
It seems more a place for the lonely or bored who want to connect or chat with other lonely or bored - after all two of the most active bloggers are overtly married, and who knows how many other members are not so overt about their relationship status.
There are of course some I haven't named below because they have been online, if not blogging, recently. But Catfoot has been silent too long. Solamente. Mollybaby. Nonsmoker. The formerly-most-viewed, and chatty, Usha. Miclee. Some may be here under different names but you'd think the sparkle would have shone through.
If anyone has good news re them -
It's not even just a singles site because it has the 'not single/not looking' option.
Given the inherent breadth of profile options (except for gender and sexuality of course), I'm not sure anyone abiding by the rues shoudn't be a member, or should be made to feel they're in the wrong for having friends using this medium.
I think that was his moniker, but of course everythng gets shortened and I' only certain about the 'Daytona' bit.

After seeing it wasn't the place he remembered, he vanished again very quickly.
Hasn't being seen since.
Usha made an announcement saying she was leaving to care for his sick mother, who sadly at the time was at stage 4 from cancer, she had also met someone which could of resulted in her staying away
I dated/met one of the others you mentioned, strangely he's vanished since then
And those are mainly younger people using those forums.

That said, I did meet up a month or so back with what seemed an absolute corker, on paper, from CS. Over our first drink he confessed coyly that there's a wee wifie in Wales but it's ok, she doesn't like Spain so when he's over here he's always on his own. Guess what, you're still on your own, mate.
So you'll understand when I wish those marrieds and the politicals and the religious nuts who have no intention whatsoever of ever meeting anyone and just want to bump their gums would go do it on one of the many other chat options because this is the ONLY one I know for singles.

9 are yours and you are upfront about not being here to meet anyone.
8 are religious, 2 of them raised by females. I don't think their agendas (all 8) include casual interaction. One or two seem frankly certifiable.
7 are from some dude who seems to be running a lecture course. Until I sorted and started counting I thought they were all the same blog but in fact there are 7 with basically the same heading.
2 of them are from some woman bent on advertising something or other.
In total 31 of the 42 blogs are male.
Bit puzzled how you get to 70% being female but it's late here for me, nearly midnight, dog to walk, hot chocolate to make, maybe I'm missing something particularly obvious.
