Exactly ... Our Govt. in reality has enough money to develop the country , BUT That money is reserved to spend upon political projects like "Central Vista" only , not for maintenence of a Dam...
What most frustrating is that , they are claiming that they can not do dredging properly and regularly Because of Shortage of money ....
Reallyyyyy !!!!! DVC Dam operates under authority of Central Govt. And Central Govt. Is spending Billions of money over their "Central Vista" project even during this pandemic...
And they are claiming Shortage of Money !!!! They must be Joking.......
DVC practically accepted the allegations and admitted that "They have no other option but to open the Lock gates because , due to negligence of maintenance and lack of dredging for a long long time , now they have no more capacity to hold this extra bit of rain water.." ...
Woww !!!! Inspiring honesty from DVC Dam Authority !!! That they have openly admitted their limitations that , they have no other option to solve the matter except only CREATING A FLOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bravo !!! They deserve appreciation for their soooo much honesty !!!!! And BTW... West Bengal Govt. Should Not Deny their Responsibility regarding the dredging issue as well...
Political game of accusation has began , as Chief Minister of West Bengal raised the theory of "Man Made (?) Flood" against DVC Authority and Central Govt....
As West Bengal is flooding , Politics is entering to the peak !!!!
I agree with you that , instead of wasting our attention over dead past , we should focus on our present and concentrate to improve our future ...
But , when it comes to Past like 15th August , 1947 , well , that Past is Not Dead , that Past is very much Alive , and that Past in fact Controlling our Present and our Future as well...
So better we remember our Past rather ignoring it , so that we recognise the mistakes done and learn from it to develope ourselves further...
Anyway , I really appreciate your good intention... You are always welcome...
Well ... Iota , What you've said about present political scenario , that's really needed to pay attention ...
But , This perticular Blog is Not about today's politics...
This Blog is about the policy taken during our Independence movement and the consequences of those policies which we are still facing today... I created this Blog in the context of upcoming 15th August , in the memory of our Independence Movements ...
So about looking forward .. Well... I'll make some other Blogs about that , some other time in future ...
Thank you so much for sharing your views about today's Indian politics though ... I very much appreciate your concern about it..
We , citizens of West Bengal , are so fortunate that our city became mini replica of Venice overnight !! Thanks to our so much Responsible Corporations and Municipalities and their so much Efficient Drainage system !!!
All ready in the name of Corona restrictions , they have ruined the whole transport system... And now only 1 day rainfall completed the remaining job on behalf of them...
For me , once is an X , supposed to be always an X... If there was a break up , then there must be some serious reason behind it...
So getting back with the same person is like inviting the same problems in life all over again... So the question remains , Is it worthy ?
But then again , it's totally my personal opinion... Every individual and every situation is different... So it would be better to decide accordingly...
City Of Joy or City Of Pain !!!
