Hi Ham, nice to see you back and ready for your next adventure My advice would be: Stay away from mirrors until you got a good period to rest... ofcourse it's a result from strenuous activity.
I don't feel I age quick; I do feel time flies by faster though (there is a difference, hehe).
I love my 40's; feel much better than when I was in my 20's and what I might have lost in energy, I gained in wisdom... I have people do things for me now instead of doing them myself
Guess it's all about your state of mind anyway... tell yourself very often that you're a 20 something year old god and you'll start believing it... once you believe it, others will see it too - kudos to mindpower
Babishoes Indeed very nicely written. It is certainly true, we can't make a new beginning, but why would we want to anyway? If we start by taking full responsibility for our actions, acknowledge the mistakes we made, it is never to late to make things right and often, things aren't as bad, a well meant 'I'm sorry' or 'I thought about my action and...' can't put it right.
Narnia Just go get back what is yours in the first place; ask him to call you so you can talk instead of email. Did you mean you broke up with him via an email? Maybe he's angry about that and ignoring your mails now Hope you'll work it out with him and get your watch back.
Ariel, Zebaztian Totally get where you're coming from; I also hate books not being returned! My books are the only worldly posessions I care about and these days I only lend them out to family members.
Richard Are you by any chance procrastinating on your household chores by blogging?
It's fairly normal here to hire household help; in Belgium there even is a system with service cheques, so it's subsidized for private users (no companies). The system does help people with jobs and an income that is above minimum wage.
I never hired anybody to clean up after me, since I have plenty of time to do so myself and I would probably be one of those types that would clean up before the help would come
My sister is a mum of 2 with a very busy work schedule and a mountain of laundry always growing faster... she hires a help for the ironing and doing some occasional chores, one afternoon a week. Think I would do too if I was in the same situation.
Funlaugh I think you live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world... and so much fun stuff to do. Some of the things I enjoyed best when I was over, were the Heaphy Track, sea kayaking in the Marlborough Sounds and rock climbing in Wanaka... oh a hike on Fox Glacier was also very impressive, although a bit more touristy.
Belgium only has 3 official languages; dutch, french and german. However, Brussels being the capital and host of many, many EU officials, a lot of other languages are spoken too.
Coming right up Ariel... I'll have a selection of pralines myself, just because they look so very pretty (I'll try not the eat them all at once) Feel like an after dinner chocolate now... (having one, not being one, that is )
RE: It happened overnight
Ham, an almost mail? that's new to meJust sent you a actual mail; my explanation would be too boring and off topic to post in your blog
