The good news is that it often happens when you least expect it.
I used to believe in the "one special person for you" theory when I was a child. But then I realized ... what are the chances of ANYONE ever meeting the ONE person for them on the entire planet. If there is only one right person, no one would EVER meet the right person for them.
I think it is more about the person that "you" are. (I don't mean just you personally, but everyone). You have to be in the right frame of mind to meet someone. Your heart has to be open and you have to be brave enough to let your guard down. Sometimes people reach a stage where that is impossible for them to do.
I think that if your heart and mind are in the right place, there are a lot of potential people who you can have a happy life and wonderful relationship with. It's more about "you" then them. Two people both have to be in the right place in their hearts and minds at the same time. That's why it is so difficult, but also why it is so valuable. Rarity makes value.
PS I think in general Filipina women are some of the most beautiful women in the world both inside and out. I never met one I didn't like. GREAT culture.
No matter how you meet someone, there is risk involved. But there is less risk if you meet in person than if you meet online because it is easier and faster to get to know who the real person is in person. When you meet online the risk that the person is not who you thought they were is much bigger.
No matter how you meet people, meeting a mate is difficult. And it becomes more difficult the older you get.

Unless it's defective there is no reason why a modern LED bulb made by a legitimate manufacturer shouldn't last for 15 years in standard use.
Today these bulbs are rated around 50,000 hours.
That's more than 15 years of use at around 9 hours per day 7/365.
LEDs like other solid state devices tend to either be good or bad. If they fail, it's usually pretty quickly. If they don't then they are usually good for their rated life. There is a certain percentage of defective devices that make it through QC and sounds like you got one. Else it's a cheap Chinese knock-off with high defect rates and low life ratings.
The statistics you never hear about are the ones about the thousands of innocent lives that are SAVED every year because law abiding citizens had the right to own guns.

At some point the answer to that is yes.
The classic example you learn about in Econ 101 is pollution. You may be able to reduce the level of a polluted body of water that is 75% polluted down to 25% fairly cheaply. But reducing it from 25% polluted to 10% polluted may cost twice as much as reducing it to 25% from 75%.
And reducing it from 10% to 1% polluted might cost 4 times much as the last reduction.
And reducing it from 1% to 0.1% might cost 8 times as much, which may be the entire wealth of every person on the planet.
And so on.
It's the law of diminishing returns for your investment. The more you try to reduce something the more the incremental cost of the reduction.
In the example you NEVER get to the point where pollution is reduced to nonexistent. There is ALWAYS some level of pollution. You could spend every penny that ever existed on a problem and STILL never reduce it to ZERO.
But of course you can't spend every penny because there are other things you need to spend money on too that are equally or more important such as eating.
This is exactly the same principle. The number of people killed by incidents like this is infinitesimal. We have already reduced the level down to a statistically insignificant level. The cost of reducing it even further, which may or may not even be possible is not worth spending because there are other uses for those resources which will benefit society more.
Resources are not unlimited. It doesn't make sense to waste them on something that is so statistically insignificant and may not be able to be reduced significantly no matter how much is spent on it.
In any event, it certainly isn't sane to infringe any further on the gun ownership rights of 349,999,990 US citizens because there are 10 crazy people out there. That's letting the tail wag the dog.
That isn't to say that there aren't some other areas that might be appropriate to look into such as the one President Trump is suggesting, i.e. focusing on identifying people with mental problems before they get to the point where they can commit such acts and isolating them from society. It's entirely possible that the left's obsessive compulsion to focus the discussion on gun control, when there is no evidence at all that this is an effective solution since there are already hundreds of gun control laws, has diverted attention away from what may in fact be a viable way to further reduce the problem.
And we have 350 million now the last I checked was around 267 million and over 7 billion world wide. but in the USA - children, adults and senior citizens.
As of a year ago. It's higher now... including hundreds of thousands of illegals who poured into America illegally over the Mexican border thanks to an assist by the Democrats since then.
if you crash into a school bus and kill 30 kids by mistake thats not the same as beheading a dozen small children.
Not the same to whom? The families of the dead?
In what way are the families of the children killed by mistake in the school bus any less injured than the families of the other dead children?
Is this view not diminishing of the pain suffered by the children killed on the bus?
Is it not focusing on the rare tragedy while ignoring the common tragedy and using the statistically insignificant to make policy based on sensationalization?
I know you didn't intend it this way, but to argue that a death from a car accident is not as noteworthy as a death from a shooting is demeaning to the families of those who lost a family member in a car accident.
By the way, this is a wonderful young woman and very real. I wish her and her son all the best and would be honored to have her as a fellow citizen in America (legally!).

And here is something else you have never been exposed to.
Corporate taxes are regressive. That means that the lower your income, the bigger percentage of your income you pay in that kind of tax.
The reason it is regressive is that ALL consumers pay for the corporate tax because it is built into the cost of everything they buy. Even consumers who pay no income tax at all pay for the corporate tax.
In effect, corporate taxes are a sneaky way the government uses to get corporations collect taxes for them and the people paying the taxes don't even know they are paying them. Through the use of corporate taxes the government has your belt off and your pants down and you never even knew what happened.
So corporate taxes are regressive and Democrats/Socialists are constantly insisting on increasing the most regressive tax which disproportionately hurts lower income and poor people. And they claim they are doing just the opposite with the corporate tax. A BIG LIE.
There are two kinds of Democrats/Socialists. Those at the top who know exactly what they are doing and manipulate the masses in order to gain power... that would be your Nancy Pelosis, Chuck Schumers, B. Hussein Obamas, Joe Bidens, Bernie Sanders's. etc. and those who go along with their manipulation in ignorant bliss.
First of all, the president's White House counsel CANNOT FIRE the Attorney General or anyone working for him. Only the president can do that. And he has 100% constitutional authority to do it. So it makes no difference if he directed his counsel to fire them because he cannot do it. And even if the president DID do it himself (which he didn't) there is no obstruction involved in doing what he has a 100% legal authority to do.
Secondly NO ONE WAS FIRED. On the contrary, the president cooperated 100% with the Mueller investigation (even though it was a sham) and Mueller stated repeatedly in the hearing that HIS INVESTIGATION WAS NOT IMPEDED IN ANY WAY BY THE PRESIDENT OR HIS ADMINISTRATION.
So this attempt to say that they president obstructed an investigation, that was a sham from the start to begin with, is not only just another Democrat sham, it's a pile of legal pig droppings.
And finally, IT IS NOT THE SPECIAL COUNCEL'S JOB to "exonerate" anyone. His job is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence of a crime to recommend prosecution. That's IT. And he determined that there was NOT sufficient evidence to prosecute the president or anyone else for any crime related to the president or his administration.
The case is CLOSED except in the minds of the bitter, angry, self absorbed, hateful, anti-American, sore loser Democrats, who simply cannot live with themselves for being such losers and have decided to create a scorched earth America because they can't force everyone to do things their way.
If President Trump is guilty of anything it’s the obstruction of INjustice. He should receive a medal for standing up to these vicious and un-American attacks by the Democrats and the media they control.
The Democrat’s last best hope is gone. Mueller decimated their impeachment narrative in the hearings this morning and repeatedly rebuked their characterization of his report. They tried to get him to agree with their propaganda but he wouldn’t have it. They came up with ZERO and the three years they wasted on this track, dragging the entire country through the mud and shutting down the peoples’ government will not be forgotten when Americans go to the polls next year.
The Democrats’ coup attempt HAS FAILED. Their assault on America, it’s citizens and the presidency HAS FAILED. They thought that since they can’t win elections, they would eliminate the president by other means. THEY FAILED.
