RE: I got vaccinated against the virus yesterday.

"They prime the immune system to give a faster more complete response, if you do get infected."

That's true.

I was wondering if they have tested any of the Nasal Sprays to see if they kill the Virus, in the same way soap does when we wash our hands. It would be handy to have one in your pocket. If you felt you were too near someone and they breathed on you, a quick spray might help.

RE: What separates couples?

As far as I know Egoism is not what I mean when I mention Egotism.
There may be a subtle difference, or none at all.

RE: Trump approval rating average continues to improve

@ShawnThor, I'm not on either side, just trying to take an interest.

The Website below gives so-called Latest Results, with the % change upwards.

I totted up the gains for both candidates, they are as follows:

Biden +314

Trump +191

Adding them up compares one to the other, but what does it mean.

There are only 40 states listed?

RE: You Might Be A Trump Supporter,

Stage 1, first Tuesday after Nov.1
Stage 2, first Monday after Dec.12

If stage 1 is contested then stage 2 can't go ahead.

RE: You Might Be A Trump Supporter,

If Trump wins the both stages of the election then he is re-elected, without contest.
If he loses stage one, he contests the result, stage two is halted, and he refuses to leave office.
So he is still president. What happens next?

RE: Day of the Lord is near

@ lcbr, God is, (more exactly), 2020 years old. Before that, they worshiped Cats, and things like that.

That says it all for me, no need for more discussion with you. hand laugh

RE: Day of the Lord is near

@lcbr, God's, 2000 year old, retrospective, Tax Bill.

Are you thinking of someone else?
Do you know how old God is?
Do you know who was here 2000 years ago?

Are you concerned about the Topic, or something else?

As far as I know Charities don't pay Tax, perhaps Religious Institutions are in this category. I haven't checked, maybe someone can verify.

RE: Day of the Lord is near

@GG, Facts ~ 100 years ago, 600 million Christians, Today 2020 there are 2 Billion plus.
Christianity is the fastest growing religion.

Population 1920: 1.900 Billion People. Christians: 0.6 Billion. 31.50%.
Population 2020: 7.795 Billion People. Christians: 2.1 Billion. 26.95%.

Showing a slight fall.

This information is given from a neutral perspective, to give a more realistic impression of the numbers.

The population numbers are from the Worldometers.info website.
The Christian numbers are from GG.

RE: "The Most Beautiful Place I've Been"

So far I only looked at the Angel Falls video.
They were named after the man who landed his airplane at the top, it got stuck and was left there for 33 years, great story.

Seems to be one of the greatest climbing challenges too. You're lucky to have such great places to visit.

RE: Add your own photo caption, if you like (lemur)

There's a man up in a tree half a mile away looking at me through binoculars, his eyesight must be very bad because he hasn't even seen the lion who is starting to climb up after him. laugh

RE: Add your own photo caption, if you like (lemur)

I wonder if there's a prize for the best caption? giggle

RE: Add your own photo caption, if you like (lemur)

Buurrrrp.. oops! wow

RE: Karen...

Overlap!

RE: Karen...

A Karen is 'A crazy woman'. Urban language. I pity any woman by that name. I don't know how it started, maybe chatillion can explain.

RE: I’d like to get a lover

Normally I would advise someone to play hard to get, but I think it's too late for that. laugh

RE: Existence, Religion, Meaning, Voids

The Meaning of Life. All you need to know.

RE: I’d like to get a lover

It's all about the underlying meaning of the word when used in certain circumstances, the evolved meaning.
It appears that meanings may differ in regions or countries.

For example
In a formal setting you might ask someone 'how is your husband / wife'
In a casual setting you might ask someone 'how is the love of your life'

But you would never ask someone 'how is your lover' (except maybe lads having the crack in a pub)
It would be considered rude and too personal to say lover, because of the underlying connotation.

This would be the case in my experience, it's possible that it's not even nationwide. dunno

So here, if someone said they wanted to take a lover, it would only mean one thing.

When in Rome, I suppose. laugh

RE: There just is no way a man can make a woman happy even when he takes over the cooking for a change.

What about the new dishwasher I gave her for her last birthday? laugh
