how about some libraries, museums, parks, some events... Take some courses on things that you maybe enjoy... painting, language courses, etc? Just forget the bar scene.
"so many people say they are lonely, yet when I see their photos, i think " how can you be short of dates?" you are beautiful, educated etc, so what is happening?"
I´ve been wondering that when I see many handsome men and still single. How´s possible?
I liked Lazly´s question. Muy guapo usted. Por que estas solo?
It saddens me to death to see that some of the turistic buildings of my country are icons related to the catholic church. Take a look at that christ redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.
That is just one of the countless similar statues you can find here. In my hometown it was built (with public money) a huge catholic image (another saint statue) and that is a "touristic spot". They didn´t even asked us (the locals) if we wanted such a statue. Not all people from my hometown are catholics. They should have got that money to do something regarding to education or health systems. I´m sure that would make all locals happy. But catholics are the majority here and they (only them!)have the final word. The catholic church is forcing us to believe in their faith.
In short, my country is a joke! A catholic joke, I must say.
when I look around, see happy couples everywhere and then look at myself all alone. That´s a hard time for me. Or just when June 12th comes (Brazilian day for Valentine´s day) and I found myself alone. That´s a really hard time.
"how many times, u wished to be alone during a hard time with ur other half????"
Honestly, I don´t even remember those moments.
I enjoy my life as a single but as I said above any hard time together with my other half would be better than being alone.
I know the guy who you are talking about. He recently got obsessed raising his atheist flag on the forums and got some enemies there. He used to be a nice man to talk with but his obsession for religion topics were too much. Pity...I will miss him somehow. (Hope you are reading this, man.)
@Lindz:
"athiests has the tendancy to belittle anyone belonging to a religion, no matter what that religion is."
Living in a almost 100% Christian (mostly catholic) country, I would change your words to: "Catholics have the tendancy to belittle anyone belonging to a religion, no matter what that religion is." Honestly, that´s how I feel and see here in Brazil.
There´s a inner war between catholics and protestants here. I come from a Christian family (some protestants, others catholic) and I respect both but I have heard catholics scorning protestants and never the opposite, I must say. It saddens me to see such a thing and the catholic person who dares to do that on a protestant one will have a bad time if I am around. I know, none of my business but I can´t help myself. hehe
From what I said you may have an idea of how I see catholics and that´s why I said I would change your words if I could.
I can get a long with people from other religions. If you don´t try to convert me I´ll be your friend forever. Respect me and I´ll respect you.
A QUESTION TO EVERYBODY:
Would you date (long term relationship) a person of another religion?
RE: What's Your Favorite Perfume Ladies
I learnt something new today from your blog. Ambergris... I will remember that name.
