Thanks a lot opentuit, for explaining the verse from Hamlet.
red_vitamin, welcome to my blog ! You're right, I love words.I like very much opentuit's poems as well as some of her posts on the forums . Also she is my guide ,when I have a language doubt. So I like her . Perhaps you too can join the conversation !
Conversing with you is a sort of confession, sacred feminine! Btw ,I saw the following verse from Hamlet in a tweet. Could please let me know (briefly) the meaning, conveniently?:
Hamlet
"...there's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come', if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all. Since no man knows aught of what he leaves, what is't to leave betimes? Let be."
Diego Forlán, my most favorite player of this world cup. ROB HUGHES of International Herald Tribune says: "But if ever you wonder what motivates Forlán, it isn’t just about playing and trying to conjure goals. He works with dedication for his sister’s foundation aimed at preventing road accidents in Uruguay, and he represents Unicef, also trying to improve life for the disabled. A loser? On Tuesday, maybe, but not in this tournament, and surely not in life." Read more:
Thanks, Intellow. As for the story:May used to draw pictures of the various couplings positions she and Darren engaged in. Her daughter happens to see the drawings which gives her a clue as to what was going on. Naturally she is shocked. She angrily tells her mother that she is going to punish her by hitting at her face. May meekly accepts the punishment and leaves her daughters house.
Reasoning and intuition are all much relevant untill marriage. But perfect match seems to be a mirage. Also, familiarity may not always breed contempt , but some sort of boredom is likely. In India , arranged marriages are still majority, and the failure rate of same is apparently less than that of love marriages. So accommodation seems to be very crucial for the success of marriage.
In the earlier post I mentioned that some personal element is present in Intellow’s threads. By which I meant that the threads seem to be based on her own observations of what are happening around ; I didn’t mean that same were related to her personal life.
Sorry to know that Opentuit is no more present on this site. I miss her and her poems very badly. May I ask her to leave her email id , if ever she comes back ?
A very informative post. Though a film buff myself, I skipped the ‘Twilight’ movies , since as mike3478 said, I felt it was really not my type of story, Also the Rottentomatoes.com which is my guide for movies, gave ‘rotten ‘ rating for the 2008 movie. But thanks to Bubbly & mike, I will read the book and also might see the movie.
RE: Good night friends!
Lovely! Not a sleep inducing song , but one that you want to hear again and again
