Germany has a massive pension problem of it's own coming up thanks to the fall of the Berlin Wall! All those former East German civil servants, burocrats, policemen etc have to be paid!
And if Ireland does the default on them, they'll not be too secure. Your own country is up to it's neck in debt to China by the way! China are afraid to recall the debt because your own ecconomy would collapse and they would get nothing! A Mexican stand off I'd say!
Within 5 years, that property tax will be scaled against the value of your home and you could be paying up to €5k! The €100 is the thin edge of the wedge and remember, these homes have already had 40% stamp duty paid to the government!

The government have thought about this one. The price of petrol is to be raised so high you'll need a mortgage....and the banks ain't giving out mortgages!
Seems whilst we were all worrying in the west about everything from communism and nuclear war to the muslim nations and terrorism, we are actually on self destruct as capitalism begins to eat itself. I'm sure there is a symbol in some culture depicting a snake devourind itself....perhaps the Mayans!
The Public and Private Unions have united in Lisbon for the biggest strike in 20 years due to the cuts! What a difference to here where we just fight with each other.
And already Spanish bond rates are starting to rise! The ECB cannot afford a Spanish bailout! Things are about to get very interesting in Europe!
