I have many special friends in my life and some I have had for over 30 years. Each is unique, not one looks the same, they come from all walks of life,one wears designer clothes while another battles to feed her kids.In my eyes they are all beautiful because their hearts and personalities are.Had I chosen them purely by looks or appearance I doubt we would still be friends today.
Rich I made this statement after having worked part time in a fruit shop in a very predominately Italian suburb.They always picked very soft ones with some marks and I asked them why as the cost was the same.They said it was because they added a better flavour to their sauces and after tasting them I agree.
I believe in Italy they prefer the soft tomatoes as they make better sauce.Nothing stays firm and flawless on the outside but good personality and character remains forever.
Hi again Ramone. The forums here are pretty slow as our population isnt as big as yours and we seem to catch each other on the int forums. Welcome anyway, always nice to have a male around that likes to nibble.
Just on my way to one.2.30pm sunday here. They got great bands and going down to catch up with friends and have a xmas drink (coffee of course ) (not).
Yes it does take work to get into a better place and it certainly is personally rewarding when you get there.Too many people out there wanting someone else to fix their issues.
I think one of the nicest things to be able to say is... I really like you , I like the person you are and I like the way you make me feel. So often people are in a relationship with someone they say they love but deep down dont even like.
Dont beat your self up over it. There will always be givers and takers. Me personally I would rather give. So whats a little pain among friends, at least we know we have feelings and thats not bad.
Oh OH a couple of bourbans isnt helping right now lol. Self love is practiced by the one who doesnt care. Selfless love by the one who does all the loving. We need to get less selfless and more selfish. Gee I hope that makes sense
Lion heart I understand what you are saying. Yes one person can love unconditionally but does this not then turn it into blind love. I have lived this and have allowed my love to blind me to the truth.
If someone hurt me badly I could no longer love them unconditionaly. Blind love is that we love them no matter how much they hurt us (yes that is a one sided love because you do not hurt the one you love)
