The bottom line (for me at least) is simple. I don't for one minute think we evolved from the sea like Darwin claimed.
But I do think we are some sort of a genetic experiment that gods let get out of hand and the gods can't control us any more (a bit like letting the genie out of the bottle..By then it's too late).
Take for instant the story of Noah and his Ark. Even today if there was a catastrophique event, we couldn't build a vessel to save two of each kind. But a DNA data base is another story. Probably more plausible.
Take a look at ancient egyptian hieroglyphs, some of their 'squibles' look very much like 'dna helical structure',..Even the Sphnix is a hybride..Not to mention the pyramids...
Talking about pyramids, even in South America the Aztec's/Mayans used them and they were 'worlds apart'...And the Mayans plotted the known universe as we know it today...
And if people think that crop circles are all due to someone with a straw hat, cardboard cut-outs to stop feet prints are down to someone drunk or friends having a laugh..Think again.
Most religions piss in the same pot, they all want to control. I'll admit a few don't. But they are nature based and concern protecting what we have.
Just right click on the pic, scroll to properties and copy/paste the URL from the address. But you can only paste pics on a picture thread or a poll thread.
AB, just use the tags [ youtube ] paste URL [ /youtube ] but don't leave spaces between the brackets, kinda like HTLM only why the don't use < & /> is beyond me.
In between each 'layer' I'm putting perspex to make sure it doesn't colaspe. But putting foam on the 'outer' cans to stop them denting , sounds like a master stroke.
For the past few months instead of throwing my empty beer cans out, I decided to keep them (I've 300+). The plan is to glue them together and make a beer chair for my balcony. Problem is I've tried a few types of glue but non seem to work very well...
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love for your dreams for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon... I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful be realistic to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure yours and mine and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes."
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments
RE: Advantages vs disadvantages
I couldn't do that (risk having mucky stains on my beer chair). This thing has cost me a small fortune.
