RE: Security.... (Air Marshals)

Exactly. Just another reason the trillions of dollars spent on the TSA and new airport regs is a complete waste of human resources. The time of hijacking jets is long-past. The obvious indefensible targets are bridges, water supplies, buildings, and cities. Any hijackers stupid enough to try another stunt would be jumped by fifty people faster than they could say "utility knife."

RE: Supplements Help

I enjoy a lot of herbs and natural-grown "medications" that help my mental state immeasurably. I wouldn't be the down-to-earth, sane, sensible, and mature guy I am today without those special supplements.blushing smitten

RE: Security.... (Air Marshals)

One problem with air marshals has been that they're routinely revealed by order of flight entrance (something that has has caused some to quit in protest). I see nothing wrong with the idea - a well-trained individual could be invaluable.

Another tactic is to harden the cockpit entrance door such that it would defeat or render very difficult force entry. THe policy of airlines should be absolute: no negotiations with hijackers and no entry - no matter what.

IN any case, the whole terrorist-hijacker scenario, which has pointlessly caused the USG to waste billions if not trillions of dollars creating a stupid, ineffecitve agency and massive expenses and inconvenience for travelers, avoids the painfully obvious truth that there are far easier and more effective targets for terrorists. The airliner takeover was really a bread and circus game to appease the unthinking masses, imo - i.e., it was more a token gesture to assuage emotions than to actually address any real threats (in fact, one could characterize the entire so-called "War on Terrorism" in this way (it could more aptly be called: "The War on Individual Rights Via Government Power-Grab") - it's all about smoke and mirrors and dealing with people's emotions and vastly augmenting the United States Government's power. The US has done more to damage its own citizenry/economic base/US soldiers than any terrorist organization could ever hope to achieve - while behaving as the biggest and baddest terrorist of all destryoing hundreds of thousands of lives in the Middle East.

RE: Help - Dogs

Definitely contact rescue people (often they board dogs until owners are found) as well as vets, who often know of such people and people-finding networks.

I understand why you need to do this, Dana, and my heart goes out to you.

RE: Arrrghh! Parents!

Thanks, Dana! Of course I did have to chain them to their beds at night to prevent them from pilfering my precious crops!

RE: Arrrghh! Parents!

That is truly disgusting, Dana!hug kiss How much sleep is that poor boy being deprived of due to those bright lights!

I always chose "medicinal" plants like mushrooms and peyote for growing in my sons' bedrooms because they require so little light.

True, that might scare some sense into Claire and her kids! But P should be careful with that slapping hand around me when I'm wearing stiletto heels (I have been known to wield them as weapons...just ask the snapping turtle who snapped at my ankles while swimming with them onscold very mad)

The Power of Prayer?

Too bad you aren't here, brother. I've got a shroom with your name written on it (in bright, psychedelic colors, too!blushing) that would help straighten that mental mess out, believe me.

The Power of Prayer?

"God is one heckuva confusing entity."roll eyes

The Power of Prayer?

Wanted to add - not a shameless "bump," actually feeling quite guilty - that many of the characteristics listed for God (such as omnipotence, omniscience, etc.) are logically incoherent if not self-contradictory, but that doesn't stop people who don't appreciate their logical ramifications from claiming to believe in them.heart1

Hugsy might counsel you, Irish, that it's never wise to ask a guy who wears skirts such things...dunno hug

RE: Who do you think you are???

I appreciate that, Trish. Actually, "schrooms" are pretty cool for running naked in lightning storms. The lightning almost never strikes you when you're that transcendentally enlightened.blushing wave
