Ha Ha, that song was stuck in my head to when I came back from my vacation in the States (see OP), but I am all for all summer long anytime anywhere man do I miss the summer and great times I had in Cali and Vegas this summer...summer is over here in Sweden. yay

To be honest, I can buy into this gene theory.

I'll just say that some men need new pu**y once in a while....even if their relationship is going great and if there is no sense of "something" missing in a loving relationship.

My best friend has this infidelity problem. He has tried to receive help from this problem.

The bizarre thing is that his girlfriend understood and never broke up with him. He broke up with her cause he said he needed a variety of muff, but he still wanted to get back with his ex after his little fun and games.
I should point out that his most recent attempt at reconciliation with his ex has gone a bit rocky...

I'll be honest, I think I have this gene pretty active in me. I have had all sorts of infidelity problems when I was a bit younger. I am aware of it, but know that cheating on my loved one only created bad karma and negative energy...thus ruining the relationship in some shape or form.

I could understand this behaviour when I was younger. Like confirming my masculinity, but I did cheat on my ex when I was 31. I never told her till after we broke up. The thing is I knew that cheating on my ex would spell disaster in some way even if she never knew.

Anyways, if I get in a serious relationship again, I am going to need some of those pills..lol Naw, I think I am wise enough now not to do it. And I do deeply regret that I did it, but I have forgave myself and accepted the harsh realities that were accompanied with my infidelity.

A team of researchers from Sweden and the United States claim to have uncovered a genetic link to help explain the cause of broken relationships between men and women.

According to a new study, some men carry a specific genetic variation that makes it harder for them to form lasting bonds with women.

“It’s not necessarily the case that they are less capable of love. Rather it’s probably about a reduction of their social competence,” said Hasse Walum, a researcher from Karolinska Institutet.

Walum is one of the lead researchers of the study conducted by several institutions in Sweden and the United States, and published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The findings are based in large part on genetic information gathered from about 550 pairs of Swedish twins and their partners, for a total of about 1,000 men and an equal number of women.

Researched examined a specific gene, AVPR1A, as well as codes for receptors of vasopressin, a hormone found in the brain which affects behaviour related to forming bonds and building relationships.

Walum and his colleagues discovered that men, but not women, which have one or two copies of a specific variation of the gene, have twice as high a risk for encountering problems in their relationships or marriages.

“I want to emphasize that men who carry this allele are not doomed to failure in their relationships. The effect is relatively modest. But the risks are greater than for other men. It’s possible that they are also more prone to infidelity,” said Walum.

The question now is whether men would be interested in undergoing testing for the genetic variation, known as allele 334.

It’s possible that some men would love to be able to say to their significant other, “I may be a bad partner, but there’s nothing I can do about it because I have allele 334”.

“Many would probably try to do that. But it’s not that simple in reality,” said Walum.

I can just imagine when these drugs to target the gene to prevent divorces or break ups comes out in pill form, and all the ladies slipping the pills in the men's food or drink...lol

You see, there is your problem, the study only used Swedes as their examples. Swedes by nature divorce, they have strong Pagan ways...lol
