the worse ones are the ones provided by CS...no offense mods.

I can see them being used by people who cannot speak English very well.

I use flowers just so send someone a quick note. If I am interested in someone I would send them an e-mail.

Probably because its a much easier way to break the ice and see if there may possibly be a slight bit of interest from whoever the flower was sent to?!?!

Why write an essay that 99% of the time won't get a reply?!

i ignore them generally- they are putting the onus on you to really make a connection- i hate those flowers- think they should be done away with altogether- if you can't string a sentence to gether then don't contact me- but they are good for people you are already friends with to just say 'hi'

drinking I prefer those to the lengthy letters that talk of love at first sight-I am their soulmate, they feel alive again blah blah blah blah blah blah here's my phone number, my address and my email so that you can contact me....rolling on the floor laughing

professor I'll take a flower with a stupid message over those any day!bouquet

I love the flowers. I think it's so sweet when a guy sends them to me.

As for what they say to me. Short right to the point coments don't bother me.

It's the fact that the men took the time to send them.

To me it's the thought behind the flowers that counts.

Your answer doesnt have to be long either. If you like the look of his profile and decide to reply you can just say 'Hi thanks for the flower' or 'What would you like to know'...just examples, you dont have to write a long reply.

Agree - really odd.

I do reply (to be polite) because some ppl just don't know how to start a conversation:

What would you like to hear?

Yours too

grin you hear back from those who just need an assurance that they won't be ignored, but those who don't care to put a minimal effort are happily gone for good.

A digital flower has no emotion. Little time is expressed in the garnering, and they feel very empty. Flowers are beautiful and by all means should be representative of how someone fels, but I much prefer fresh hand picked ones. To give and receive, after all it is the thought that counts...
The only purpose they might have here is between friends as I would never accept one if given from someone whom I have never spoken with.
Perhaps if there was some sort of limit to how many a person could send in a week it would indicate that at least the one you receive was chosen especially for you. More so if the entire allotment for the time frame was delivered to only one person.

I like the flowers and am greatful to anyone who took a few minutes to send them. I prefer a unique message instead of the drop down menu, but don't hold it against anyone for using them. Some men have done both, flowers and mail which is always nice.

Maybe a man who's approaching a woman may not know exactly what to say.

Maybe he doesn't know how to express himself in words.

I tend to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Sometimes when I'm writing to a guy I sometimes trip over my tongue and can't figure out what to say even when it's sending an answer back to them.
