That's just it. Are we really attracted to the ones who do all that for us? Unfortunately for me, usually not. I've had a few of those & have ended up saying, "The feeling just isn't there!". It stinks, but then I guess that's why I choose to be single for now. I'd rather be alone & find my inner happiness than to end up with "the wrong guy"... again!
For some unknown reason, I get drawn to the "bad boys".... or they get drawn to me. Irregardless, I think it's the challenge of, as someone said, turning them into drivelling mutts. But that's not really how I'd put it. We like to see if we can get the "unattainable" guy (which is usually the one who all the girls seem to want) to just be after us. It's all about the challenge. But then, the ball bounces both ways there. Men don't seem to want a "needy" woman either. As a friend once told me, men are natural-born hunters. They like to stalk their prey. If they know they've captured it, they tend to move on to the next one.
Why do we (some of us) play these games over & over? I'm not really sure of the answer to this question. When I finally figure it out, I'll let y'all know my conclusion...
I just had a quick microwave lunch from the Sharp Shopper. It was southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, & green beans. YUM!! And it only cost $.99!!
That brings up another good point... TOURISTS!! I know they're not familiar with the area, but can they not read signs?? They get over in a right turn only lane & when the light turns green, whip on the turnsignal & cram themselves into traffic, nearly causing an accident!
We have a weird murder investigation in our area. Apparently, Wednesday night/Thursday morning, a guy was pulled over for making an illegal turn on red. He sped off, crashed the car, & took off on foot. They lost him. When they opened the trunk, they found a woman's body in it! The guy stole a Cadillac SUV & took off. They found the abandoned SUV in Baltimore. No sign of the guy yet. All you people in the MD, VA, DE, WV, etc., states, beware!! They say they're not sure if he's armed, but he's considered very dangerous.
My daughter called me last night to tell me to lock my doors. I told her not to worry... he wouldn't be stupid enough to come back to the area. I guess you just never know though, right?
Not yet. But I'm kind of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of gal. I go with the flow. The weather's gonna be crappy, which won't help. Even having no plans can be great!!
No major plans... I'm too broke this weekend. I get paid once a month & that's the last working day of the month. But my best friend is going to be childless!! So, even if we do nothing, we'll have fun!
Besides, the weather's supposed to be yucky this whole weekend.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. What I meant was, just as I try to separate work from my personal life, I also try to separate my internet issues from my day-to-day issues. If I go into a thread that might work on me, I have the choice to carry along in it or just click out of it. That's the beauty of the cyber world. Yes, I've met a few people on this & other forums who I carry into my personal life. But I have to put other things into perspective & prioritize based upon importance to me.
Please forgive me if I sounded like I don't believe y'all are real people. Of course I know you are!
I'm really not sure what each one thinks of me. I have gotten some good friends on here. I try to be nice to everyone & converse with everyone. I'm not one to step on others' feet, so if I have, please let me apologize! Hope y'all like me. But if not, I don't know what to tell ya!
I think I finally found a TRUSTWORTHY roommate!! She's coming over tonight to check the place out. She's already seen the place before, since she's a friend of mine. But I guess she just wants to check out the bedroom & see if her stuff will fit.
Y'all can't see me, but I'm doin' the happy dance right now!!
RE: Paul Newman
He was a definitely legend. May he rest in peace.
