Id say it all depends on how you define intellegence,

I have known people who spoke with great correctness and poised themselves with sophistocated flair but could not screw in a lightbulb withought reading the instructions.

I have also known a guy who combed his hair once a week, maybe, wore ragged old dirty cloths by choice, spoke with accented slang, spelled words with the same accented slang, and yet could build a tractor out of scrap mettle and an old 4 wheel drive, Could calculate the cubic volume of a tree withought a calculator or measuring tape, had 3 colledge degrees, and understood how traveling at the speed of light affected the biological functions of organic matter.

So how do you measure intellegance??

She did at one time but then the old boyfriend came back and it all changed quite suddenly. Now the old boyfriend is out again and I cant seem to get back in.

seems to be a common thought, Certanily would be easier than listening to her cry on my shoulder about how the othere guys she is dating are such jerks all the time when I offer her all the things she says she is looking for but she just wants to be friends with me.

Ya and it seems the ladies who take an interest in me have so many issues that I dont want to get involved with. There is one now who likes me but shie is not divorced yet, He is fighting it and is abusive, she is being evicted from her house, her son is rebelling, she use to be a haroin adict but cleen for two years, she smokes dope to deal with the pain in her wrist and back, she has no drivers licence as it has been taken away and needs other people to drive her around,,,,,,,

Well I feel for her but Iv tryed being the " Knight in shining armor" before and it doesent work.

Sometimes I just think Im too picky. I am involved with a singels group and we have a lot of fun, there are over 100 ladies in the group and i find maybe 2 that interest me and they just want to be Friends.

Actualy I have expressed interest in black ladies before and every one of them have told me Im too " redneck" for them. and then they turn around and accuse me of being predjudice because Im white.

I know this lady who is amazing, We went out for about 3 months, she always had a great time, things slowly built and started getting close and then all the sudden, in the space of just one night she decided she wanted to be " just friends". We have had off and on contact for the last 14 months but she is absolutely commited to the just friends thing. Sometimes I get the feeling the biggest problem is that she is just in the habbit of pushing me away that she is doing it automaticly without giving me a chance or a thought of a chance. What do I do

do I stay friends and nope some day she will give me that chance or do I break it off entirely, give it space and in a year or two make contact and hope we can start all over with a fresh beginning.

It has its challanges but it also has its rewards. Not all have memorey problems that sever but some do and sometimes they get better and sometimes they dont. Our job is to do the best we can on a day to day basis for each individual and help them to reach there own higest potential. I love my job and feel I make a real differance.

I love that movie, I work with people with tramatic brain injuries and that movie is right on the money, we even have a 10 second tom in our facility. On the bright side all I need is 3 good jokes and I can keep them laughing for hours.
