no better today and i blew my fuses at the fool who allocates the work called into question his ability to do the job anyway made it clear im not impressed and told them i will give them until friday to buck up or i will take my services elsewere 
thing is the bike has a fuel gauge it had passed the red and dropped down onto the little needle but i set the trip when i fuel up and usually get 225 miles to the 18 litre tank, i had just passed a garage and though about fueling up but glanced at the mileage and saw 207 so thought i would make it to Syon lane, anyway moments later it just died was going fast enough to coast over the flyover and down the hill to the other side, so it took me 15 minutes to walk back to the petrol station and they had sold out of jerry cans walked to another and managed to get 1 but lesson learnt i think
