Yes Trish, you could always tell the really good stuff. You would wake up in the morning, still sat in your armchair with a half smoked joint between your fingers.
I'm sorry, but this is nonesense. In the sixties, seventies and into the eighties nearly all marijuana available, in the Uk at least, was 'imported' mainly by individuals from all corners of the globe, The very best didn't generally find its way onto the streets but was kind of passed around. Sometime during the late eighties organised crime became involved, mainly due to some independant smugglers sharing their stories with hardened criminals whilst serving their time. The bank robbers/villains saw the money making opportunities and took over almost entirely the importation of marijuana into the Uk. With this came the adulterated 'Euro hash' mixed with all manner of additives. Some genuine hash does get through, but rarely to be seen on the streets, more likely to be shared amongst a select few. So, now we have skunk weed, ten times stronger anything thats gone before, if we are to believe many of the alarmists. Well my friend, I can tell you, and so can Trish, smoke has always been around that would blow yer friggin head off. There is nothing you can enlighten us on when it come to whacky baccy!!!!
Just slip out the back, jack Make a new plan, stan You dont need to be coy, roy Just get yourself free Hop on the bus, gus You dont need to discuss much Just drop off the key, lee And get yourself free
I dont hear any alternative suggestions from the 'no brigade' Where do you suggest we go from here? The 'war on drugs' has been raging for decades, to what avail? Surely it is time to, at least look at more radical solutions.
Actually stress, I dont think we have ever lost the name.
Fact is Americans adopted it for a game, (and I do enjoy following it) that maybe could, as the op suggested, be better named. FOOTball does seem a bit of a 'misnomer'
In England (the country where the language originated) the term 'football' is used for what Americans call soccer.
Of the 45 national FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) affiliates in which English is the main or official language, only the federations of Canada, Samoa, and the United States have soccer in their names. In both Australia and New Zealand the football governing bodies have renamed themselves to use the word 'football' in their motto.
RE: Should drugs, ALL drugs be available and free for anyone who wants them?.................
