'Cuz in between those, it's fun to talk about it in here...I mean, this is a singles site, right? Geez. Believe me, I've never gotten my rocks off from things said in here...I do save that for guys I date in real life.
Somebody had to since none of us were talking, huh? See we were all being nice and trying to help Mastic with his problem instead of redirecting the focus to our problems!
No clue...my parents have hated almost every guy I've dated that they got to meet, so it was never an issue! And, thank the gods, I don't have the type of parents that I'd have to worry about this with anyway.
I was 14 (seems to be the popular age for one), and going rollerskating with a guy friend of mine for the first time. What I'll never forget is my sister, who was 7 then, wanting to go with me 'cuz she liked him too, and she wanted to do whatever I did, so she was standing on my right foot as I was walking around the house waiting for him to get there.
OK...I had to peek...hate my curiosity sometimes. Well, you don't understand that for the same reason that I'll never understand why anyone would vote for Obama. It's called we have very different beliefs. Thankfully, we have choices, and each have the right to make our own. Unfortunately, that might change if your candidate wins. I hope I'm wrong...but then, I honestly hope we never have to find out. So....we don't agree and we'll never see eye to eye on this. That's ok...we don't have to.
As I stated, it doesn't really matter. The Electoral vote decides, not the Popular vote. I still voted, but it's not ours that count in the end. I'll repeat, there have been presidents before who lost the Popular vote, but won the Electoral and thereby won the election. So...moot point what you and I believe, isn't it?
Now...I have work to do today. I love you guys, honest I do, and there are many other things that we do agree on. See you in other threads.
Nope. I rarely participate in dressing up because I don't go out. It's a Spiritual day for me, not about costumes and candy anymore. I don't object to anyone doing so, though.
Sun signs are just as good a reason as any other to vote. I have friends voting by whose energy looks better to them...and we are not of the acid generation. I've never done that in my life, and I'm too young to be part of that generation. I am, however, an Indigo child and a conservative hippie. The conservative is what votes for McCain.
We all have the right to vote for whomever we please on whatever basis we want...that is, for now, still our right in this country.
And, again, it's not even our votes that decide. It's the Electoral vote that decides. There have been many Presidents who won the Presidency despite LOSING the popular (citizens) vote. So...you get real.
Done on this thread for today...there's no point in raising my blood pressure by coming in here again. It's why I normally stay out of the political threads...they become hostile environments instead of places to respect each others' opinions and our right to them. Have fun y'all. And pick on me all you want...I won't be here to see it.
Obama wants to disarm this country to a level comfortable to the Middle East, and chose Biden as his VP...a man who has been a very strong gun control advocate.
In his own words and actions, Obama has shown complete disregard for our flag and our anthem. He has stated that he'd like to change our anthem to "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing"...you want a coca-cola jingle for our anthem? I don't. I'd rather see someone who has already proven his willingness to fight and die for our country...and his family still is doing so, rather than someone who has not.
JMO...so, you cast your vote, and I'll cast mine...and the majority of the electoral votes will make the finally decision, anyway, not us.
OK...I have to share this. I called my local municipal building office to see where I go to vote because here it changes from year to year. They gave me the number for the county bureau of elections. I called there...guess where I go this time?! My local municipal building. They didn't know it was being held there when I called them?
I agree with this, too. I've had a time when I needed a shoulder to cry on, don't have one immediately available amongst my friends here, so I turned here to my friends on CS, knowing without a doubt that I would have the support and love I needed. And I did...immediately and all day long. That's the day I discovered that a virtual hug sent with thoughts and words of sympathy and comfort can be just as good as one in person. It really helped that day. Feeling that also makes it so that I know I'm really helping someone else when I do it for them.
I believe I might already be in one of those relationship things, but I wanted to pop on to say forums. If you hang around here for a while you might have some fun, certainly a few laughs, share and learn some wisdom...and you never know who you might meet. It's certainly worth a shot.
