My high school sweetheart and one other old boyfriend still visit my parents... This is nothing new for me, once your accepted as "part of the family" how you got there isn´t important and since I´m still friends with most of my old boyfriends it´s never created a problem. My family creates their own relationship with people that I date and know not to interfere in what ever my relationship might be.... all though I do get the occasional "Do you ever think of seeing....." ------ This thread is Archived ------

I love my parents but i dont let them interfer in my life, they are not allways comfortable with this idear but back down easily, that makes me love them more.

No clue...my parents have hated almost every guy I've dated that they got to meet, so it was never an issue! And, thank the gods, I don't have the type of parents that I'd have to worry about this with anyway.

you have dated someone a few times then take them to a picnic or backyard get together( just for a social activity), and your folks go crazy over them... to the extent you are actually feeling embarrassed or even fearful of what your parents may try to orchestrate.
