RE: why do people fight ?

Fighting is in most cases, the lack of ability to explain one's self, so they feel they have to beat their ideas into others to get their way. Yes a control issue, and one mostly associated with those that want control, but lack the inteligence/ability to handle it.

RE: do american people love people as much as british people do..? or do they just love money?

Well don't know that for a fact, so will have to just test that one out... devil

RE: Are you afraid of speed?

I did amateur Drag for 3 years, Drag bikes that is, my best speed was 251. Tried to go pro, but did not make it, but hey not too bad.

RE: what is art ?

I have 2 books out, one is poetry, and that is a very complex art form there. Ther other is a novel, sci/fi, and any forem of writing is an art.
My likes are photography, and that I do as well, I love paintings, especially nature, nudes, scenic. I love classical music, especially the romantic era, but some from the other eras as well.
My third and fourth books are waiting till I can find a new publisher, which has not been quick in coming.

RE: when will world war three start ? ..and why ?

THere is a story in my religion that speaks of the final war. What it says is when religion is turned on itself, then the gates to the seven hells will be opened and the winds of turmoil released.
In so many ways we see that today, or at least the advencement of it today, in the three major religions of the world. They have all become so unstable with their own greed and such, that those that even try to follow their beliefs honestly are segragated to a minority and looked down on.Right now the minorities are often the ones that are corrupting the religions, but have found ways of extending their power via radio, tv, and news papers.
Who knows when this will happen? I doubt anyone does or will until it is too late.

RE: dating very beautiful people is always a fail...

To say you are dating a "beautiful person" might need to be what is looked at. I know I have been with some women that on the outside were completely stunning, but inside they were horrid dogs, and I have been with some that were moderate at best, but extremely lovely inside. So it really depends on where they are beautiful, is it in looks or inside?

RE: Foreplay or Just do it?

I have found that the more forplay, the more you get in return...
Get her excited a couple of times, and you will never be unrewarded.
A woman is like starting a cold engine, no matter how much she wants it. The more you prime her and warm her up, the more she will give in return and the more fulfilling the experience.

RE: who's the greatest politician that ever lived ?.. and why ?

I just looked her up, and I can see why you do like her for what she has done. She has a very powerful legacy behind her.

RE: who's your favourite hero ? ...and why ?

ANdfrew Lloyd Webber.
Self made many times over, and no matter how bad thngs got, he always found a way to pick himself back up and restart in a new direction. It took a lot of balls to do what this guy did, and yet with what he had, he has so much that is still use, looked at, or even designed from today that he did when he was a live.
Phatom of the Opera is still being shown around the world in live plays, and almost everyone knows something about it. architectural designs he developed are still taught and worked from today. He left a big mark in many industries, without the education to have been able to do half of what he did, he taught himself every skill.

RE: If you could pick our president who would you pick?

Condoleezza Rice

RE: who's the greatest politician that ever lived ?.. and why ?

Does it? I mean until you can set into some sort of motion what is good for your own people, then how can you deal with the rest of the world? It has to start somewhere. And if you look at what I was saying, you'll see that in some way what these people did, did have an effect on the rest of the world, even if that was not their intentions at the time.

RE: who's the greatest politician that ever lived ?.. and why ?

If you want to get down to whoi did the most for their people, there is a lot through out history that likely out shown many of todays politicians.

Timmigin, Ghangus Kahn; probabky understood more about cause and effect in many issues of society than any of the leaders of his time. His book "Yamminnya" (sp) Book of laws, showed this in extreme ways in the many issues that were set into law. I would think that the power he gave to the judges (chiefs of the various clans) to look at what caused the crimes and find the cause and place the blame either equally or soley there was one of the fundimentals of many of todays courts and legal understandings.

Julius Caesar set into motion many laws and guides for laws that are still in use today in many courts around the world as well as what we look at for designing laws.

Mao Tao again advised the Emperor of China in ways of laws and understandings that helped to deal effectively with the people, and todays we can still see a lot of his works too in the political arena.

The lists go on of the people that have influenced the political arenas through out history, and have the right to be called in their own right, one of the greatest politicians in history. As for who actually is the best or greatest? It will all be personal choice.

RE: Stop the Clash

I don't doubt this at all, and is one reason that most people including many politicians do not talk about it being a conflict against all Moslums.
I know when John Kerry was running for office, I found out through a site from the Yong Iranians for Democracy, that the Iranian Government had donated $150,000.00 U.S. to his compaign, which they did not like, nor trusted Kerry.
The problem with much of what we hear, is not that it is false or not the truth, but so much of it is lies mixed with half-truths, just enough that if you do not look you can be easily mislead. The group of Moslums where the issues are today, are the groups that would use their religion as a weapon against their own people, and the world, and train young boys to go into suppermarkets, coffee shops, and such and blow themselves up to kill as many as their leaders thought were evil.
There are many fractions of people over in the Middle East, just like in any other country, and some need to be removed due to their violent and destructive nature.
If you look in the US and some other countries, we have our own groups that do or try to do simular. We have groups here in the US that preach Christianity or death, and that is equally as wrong, but they cannot get the power as the terrorists in the Middle East have been able to develop over the centuries. And yes that is centuries, as this type of training and teachings have been going on before the Romans ruled these countries, the difference being that there arfe newer and more dangerous weapons for these groups to use now; explosives, rifles, bio-weapons, nuclear weapons, and who knows what the future will bring.

RE: Oklahoma

Have a good trip!
Why anyone would want to come to this forsaken state is beyond me, but have fun.

RE: are you chasing your dreams or fooling yourself making your own nightmare

Nothing wrong with chasing a dream, as long as you know when it is time to quit. To many guit too early or refuse to quitr even when they know it is hopeless, those arfe the fools
I come to these sites just to meet interesting people, and maybe make a few friends. I know for me the dream of a family is a dead one, so I am just happy when I can make friends.

RE: what do you like watching on tv nowadys ? and tell us why you like watching it ?

Don't own a tv.. nothing on worth watching any how, unless a good movie which I can rent/buy and watch on my computer.

RE: name 10 british films that have come out in the last 5 years that's worth seeing !

I honestly cannot even remember the last English film that made it to the states. I know there have been some, but I am at a loss to think of any.
To myu knowledge and personal view, Hammer House was one of the best companies for film making that came from the UK. I do find it funny that with all the technology in the US at the time, the thriller market was dominated by the UK with this company.

RE: Paris Hilton!

You should have looked at some of my other posts... No I am not, I just go by the facts, and Moore is a fraud. About as much as Hilton is a looser.

How many share this pet peve?

You look at a profile, or listen/read what someone has to say, then to find out they are only saying either what they think people want to hear, or only going for shock/brownie points.

I know many of you don't much care for my views, but they are mine based on what I have learned and seen. I don't say what I think anyone wants to hear, nor do I go for shock value when I am serious (I am liely too when joking though). I find it really distateful when you find out someone does not think for themselves but says only what they think you or their friends would want to hear. That is being a false person, and not much of what you would or at least I would want to be around. I can deal with someone that disagrees with me, as long as they can back up what they say, or be original in their views, what I don't like are those that speak lines they hear from someone else, or some group/clique or what ever. Those that can at least even if wrong show they tried to make their own minds up on what they say, I can both respect, and call a friend even if we disagree, as I do have many friends that do not agree with many of my views, but we respect our rights to think this way because we all did our own research, or used our own experiences, to come up with our own views.

How many of you would rather be with someone, either in a relationship, or just friends with, that can make intelligent views that either agree or disagree with you?

RE: ok, I'm kinda tired, and want to ask a question...for real.

The first thing is you have to decide you actually want to quit. Not just think about it, or if you do drink too much.
A lot of the hospitals have information on where you can go, and what is covered by state/federal agencies. Some hospitals use either state or federal funded programs, and some do it themselves. The ones thatr use the state/federal programs are the cheapest (0 to 25.00 a month for programs like AA) while those that do their own programs can cost a lot more (50.00 and up for AA). These prices are based on some friends that went to different hospitals and used the programs. One who went to a hospital that used a state funded program paid 0 for his AA, while another one paid $25.00 a week at a hospital that used its own program. Just look around at some of the hospitals and see what they can tell you.

RE: Paris Hilton!

For once I have to agree... those two dipsticks would be a perfect match... Both are stuck up on themselves, neither knows the truth of the real world, and both are rich slugs. What else could yhou put together and make work???

RE: do you wish you were a child again ? ..have you got any favourite childhood memories ?

I can relate to that... three years after my parents divorced, I was kicked out, had my first apartment when I was 15. If it had not been the Scoutring program I would have had a lot worse childhood. To keep things a lot easier I just try and remember the good things from then. I don't focus on the fists from my dad, not the belt buckel whippings by my mum, although I remember them, I just try and remember more of the good things. I guess that is what keeps me to some level sane, also what caused a lot of my depression.
I was lucky though. When I had my apartment, a family I knew had a large ranch in Yexas, and they let me stay in the bunk house and work on the ranch. Hard work, but I loved it, and they took good care of me, even though I lived my own life, they were always around if I needed help, advice, direction, and such. I learned that after you becomne an adult, you cannot use your past any more, it is up to you to make your own life and step beyond what you learned and experienced as a child, eiter use the good and discard the bad, or let it run your life for either the good or bad, depending on what you experienced as a child.
I think that even with my failures in life, and my successes, they would be proud, because I have never blamed anyone but myself for what has happened and learned from the mistakes.

RE: Paris was released!

As I said on another site, she should be given a choice, either spend her time in jail, or house arrest with 1000 hours CS of working in a sewage treatment plant...

Sounds fair to me.

RE: do you wish you were a child again ? ..have you got any favourite childhood memories ?

No don't miss it, but yes I have a lot of good memories, and bad.
I loved it when in the summers I went back packing in the mountains, or where ever we went, walking miles for days, setting up camps and just enjoying life and nature.
Then there was this one place we used tomplay, until I was about 9 when we moved to texas, and that was an old lot that had this hugfe oak standing in it. That tree became so much to us kids, we played Star trekk in that tree, Captain Nemo, thatr tree became a pirate ship, and just what ever our imagination could create.
Years later, I wrote a poem, published in my book of poems, about that tree.

RE: Why is the G8 not news in the U.S.?

The truth is, the media is a liberal bastalion, and I am not a conservitive, but a moderate and will find good and bad in both the libs and conservitives. The problem here in the past 20-30 years is the libs have been going way off their rockers on so many issues it has really been hard to give them any support. And no the conservitives are not the victoms, but help fuel the problems a lot themselves too, by not standing on what they talk about as much as they should. The conservitives have a major problem of being all talk and little action, so the liberals get a free ride to much of the time, which is why we often see so many declines on our economy and laws. Then when someone does stand up, he/she becomes a target of so much ill founded hate it gets so damned crazy here. Like the war in Iraq, there was so many reasons we should have went, and this was saisd even by many of the liberal politicians before Bush took office, but they never did a blasted thing about what they said, yet when Bush went in, it has been treated like he was the only person that thought of this, and called in so many ways different forms of criminal, it has become so stupid an issue from the start. He rebuilt the ecomony faster than any one in office I have seen in my life time, yet he is blamed for a situation he did not start, and it has been said too often that he is doing nothing for the economy even with the build looking as good as it is. The media plays a lot into this by spreading false information, just like Al-Quada teaches their new recruits to understand and use.
If you think Soros' information is so wrong, then check it out. He uses the media, easily turned groups of people (like the liberals in the US) and anything he can to make his efforts pay and the people of that country suffer. Its all a finacial game to him, and as long as he can make a buck off from other's pain who cares right?
Yes he saw the weakness in the pound, but what did he do to make sure that weakness was exploited for his gain? Try looking into that and see what you can find.
Like I said, Clinton is who he would like in office, because it would benefit him. As much as I do not like Obama's political views, he would be a far better choice for the Dems, than she would be. And I am not even sure it is legal for her to run a President in the first place, I know it was not for her Husband when he ran for his first term, but he did anyhow.

RE: Abbott and Costello Buy a Computer

Man those two were the kings of verbal slapstick!!
You did them proud!!!!

Well done!!

RE: Why is the G8 not news in the U.S.?

The reason is, the media in the US likes to control the news so we only get what they want us to know and when they want that.
I do agree that it is way to hard to get news from around the world here. The main reason is, that the media in the US wants to give us what they want us to hear and when they want us to hear it.
I also read news from around the world to find out something of what is going on. I read news from Russia, Australia, UK, China, Japan, and some other countries.

RE: What do you think about eutanasia???.....

For centuries Euthanasia was a valued and rarely used tool of medicine for cases which there was nothing you could do to help the person. In fact it is still used on pets today when they are in so much pain and cannot live any enjoyment in life.
I do not see why we cannot use it on people as well, when situations arrise that there is nothing we can do for them and they are either on continued life support with no to little chance of recovery, especially when they become in some cases brain dead. I see no reason why when a person is so ate up with cander or some disease that all they know anymore is constant pain to the point that even pain killers do nothing for it, and they want to die (although not all will want this).
We have become so misplaced with some of our morals, that we forget one of the things about having morals is doing what is best for a person or society. To keep a person a live in such pain, or only on lifesupport, is as inhumane as you can be. This hope that maybe we can find a cure before they die, is often a pipe dream that what we find will actually be useful to them at the stage of the disease or cancer they have, which often is in fact way too late.
When that person reaches such a high level of pain that pain meds fail to work any more, and they ask the Doctor to just end it, that should be their right to do so, and should be legal for the Doctor to grant this wish in a humane way.
I know there is a lot of people thjat agree with this, especially of those that live with this situation, as even the CDC's records of suicide still has disease being in the top ten of the reasons people commit suicide. That should actually be showing that they want this, and will do what it takes to get away for the pain.
So why force the people to have to deal with a loved one's constant pain, and costs for their ineffective treatments when it would be both cheaper and much more humane to just help them end it. Let them say their good-bys and let their families know they love them, then give them a shot that will just let them fall asleep and ease into death.
What is really sick, is we would do this same thing to some thug that kills, but not a good person that is slowly dying from pain and disease.
