THe first book of the Koran does not say that. In fact it says that you should aid the traveler on his path. In fact much of the first book talks about showing kindness to all, especially your own. Much of thr Koran is just like the bible, in that it is militant in some ways, peaceful in others, and prejudice, just like the bible. And just like the Bibled, it has many contrdictions of itself. This is why in all the Hebrew based religions, there is and always will be so much turmoil.
The three branches that came from the Hebrew faiths, all share this.
I heard this once, and seems to actually work. Have her write a letter to them, telling them how she feels, and that she loves them. Then let her hang them next to pictures of the people she lost. Make sure to tell her, they will know what she writes, as they can hear her thinking about them as she writes these letters.
This is supposed to help with the accepting of the loss, and begining to cope with it easier for kids.
I hope this does help.
And if she is having a hard time with it, I would not rule out professional help as well. Sometimes it takes more than just love to help kids get through these hard times.
Only had that happen once. Had a manager tell me to do something, that I had informed him would not work. When it didn't, infront of the X-Chef he started rampaging at me. His last mistake, as I put his head on the grill and informed him next time I'd do worse.
And no it was not the main grill, so it was not on. But the point was made, and he understood clearly.
I am so sorry to hear this. You sound like y9ou would love to be a mother one day. One the good side though, and I know it never seems like there is one, is the advancements in the field of reproduction sciences, they are finding new treatments all the time to help women that want to be mothers. Hopefully they will find one thaty will help you too!
Sorry to hear that Lena. I know that it is something that is never easy to deal with. MY cousin and his wife went through this 6 times, before they had their first child, and now they have five. I seen this first hand on how it hurts from two I do care about.
“Darfur and Chad are but an extension of the U.S. Iraq policy “with other means”—control of oil everywhere,” Engdahl says. “China is challenging that control “everywhere,” especially in Africa. It amounts to a new undeclared Cold War over oil.”
How in the hell does the US control the oil?? I wish these nutcases would look at reality. OPEC controls the oil. Maybe it is China challenging them? Gads I hope someone the hell does.
Urhotman, I have to respectfully disagree with you. And this is not on any one issue of La. but the whole mess. First, we had a lot of help from the outside. I was actually surprised to see Mexico offering help, as their government had so many times in this country made itr clear what they thought of the US. But then look at Israel, UK, Russia, and how many other countries that sent people, money, and supplies? Second the whole base of the fault as I have been in three other discussions on this very same sore subject, is founded in the State itself. They had recieved more money under bush than the last five presidents combined to repair their defences, and misused the funds. As the upgrades to the regs that govern this in 1946 and 1966 replaced the US government to the state Government to recieve money from the federal Government to use as needed on the storm walls and levies. The Federal Government is only supposed to send the money to the state tres. and the state officals are to use the money as needed. The Corps of engineers gave the Statre of La. over five reports of flaws and weak points in their storm defence, and the State failed to respond (the Corps of Engineers can only do as the State directs the funds to be done). Now after the storm, yes there was a number of stupid acts there. Like the Governor blockading the Red Cross and others from entering and setting up aid stations all the way to FEMA's errors and they were also many.
But to the point of this thread, I have to agree that I am tired also of this country being the police man of the world, and the main vilan when ever someone wants to blame someone for something going wrong. After WWI we were made to sign a non-aggression pact with Europe, so maybe it is time we did it on our own now. Take care of the US, and let everyone else do what ever.
Ok now that is a good question. Yes we should do something to try and find some legimate help for these people. Actually for the many out there that need help. This is why I am so against the UN, is they do little for any of the problems of the world except make them worse. I think what would help these people and others like them in the world, is to disband the UN, and redesign something that will fit the real world. I am not talking about the real world as to the US or any other country, but what is actually going on, and with better adaptability to adjust to changes. I don't know, but maybe I am thinking of something that just cannot be done, just what needs to be. But yes the people in Darfor do need help and have needed it for some time.
To be a leader, means to understand you cannot do everything your self, and to use those around you for their strengths to compensate your weaknesses. Deligation is made of using people for their strengths, and being smart enough not to be played by them. It also requires tons of multi-tasking skills, to do amny thinigs yourself, and have many others doing other jobs for you, and all at the same time, while keeping control on all of it.
No, not anyone can be a leader of a country, it is not an easy task.
This is why some fail so horridly.
Remember, if we had a good leader when the first attack hit the Trade Towers, then the second would likely have never happened.
First, be open. A lot of times we try to understand and predict what you women want or desire, only to have it shoved back in our faces, or upset you women. I know most married couples I know that have lasted the years, have been very open with each other so they both have a better understanding of what each wants and desires.
Second, if a man tries to do somethng nice, accept it even if it is not what you wanted, we do that enough, and it is a sign that we are trying.
Third, Understand that we are not perfect. We like you try to do the best we can, and often have our own ways of doing things, just like you do, and sometimes look at thing of importance differently than you might. This should open doors of communication to discuss what each thinks, thus a understanding can be reached much easier.
If both sides do these things, then any relationship that is honestly trying, should have a much better chance.
I honestly don't know. I don't believe the media, because they use just enough facts to try and make their BS look like facts, and here in this country our info is so limited that you have to go by what the media says, then refer to the begining as what I said about the media.
As far as I can tell, the Land mine issue has more force brought to bear down on it but Children's International, an private group I think, than any one has ever done. HIV/Ads issue has had more done by the *Cough* UN *Cough* than any other factor, but that like most of the UN's work has been mostly a joke, but atleast it is brough more into the open.
If Diana had any impact on these, and not saying she did or did not, then that would have been good, but I honestly don't know what is real and what is media hype.
Tried to take it all away Learn her freedom just inside a day And find her soul To find their fears allayed
Tried to make her love their own They took her love they left her there They gave her nothing back That she would want to own
Gold and silver rings and stones Dances slowly of the moon No-one else can know She stands alone
Sleeping dreams will reach for her She cannot say the words they need She knows she's alone And she is free
Chorus:
Ocean gypsy of the moon The sun has made a thousand nights For you to hold Ocean gypsy where are you The shadows followed by the stars Have turned to gold, turned to gold
Then she met a hollow soul Filled him with her light And was consoled she was the moon And he, the sun was gold
Eyes were blinded with his light The sun she gave Reflected back the night The moon was waning almost out of sight
Softly ocean gypsy calls Silence holds the stars awhile They smile sadly For her where she falls
Just the time before the dawn The sea is hushed The ocean calls her Day has taken her and now she's gone
Chorus
No-one noticed when she died Ocean gypsy shackled to the tide The ebbing waves were turning Spreading wide
Something gone within her eyes Her fingers lifeless stroke the sand Her battered soul was lost She was abandoned
Silken threads like wings still shine Winds take pleasure still make patterns In her lovely hair So dark and fine
Stands on high beneath the seas Cries no more Her tears have dried Oceans weep for her the ocean sighs
I do agree with the wheel and self awareness, but also up there would be Math. Without math we would be limited to what we could do, and thuis all other inventions would have not advanced as they have.
Well was not expecting so many classical pieces, but yeah I do agree that it does have so many beautiful pieces out there. Kansan, I do agrfee, Mother nature is the best composer of music. I miss so much going into the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature there.
Water systems and plumbing. Even though this started around 350 B.C. the effects on society has been so much that even today we would be lost in many ways without it.
I wasa getting ready for work that morning, and thinking about my trip to Australia in two weeks. When I saw whatr had happened, it reminded me of an manuscript I had wrote a number of years ago, and that I was told was so far fetched no one would even accept it....
One thng I have noticed is that if you're above average, then many women hav e a hard time accepting it. I never thought I was that big, and even after one woman meassuring it, I still don't, but the fact is size does matter with many women.
If you want flashed, come here to Oklahoma and work in a convenience store... I worked on for a while, and if I did not get flashed at least 7 times in a week, then we had a slow week... Now some were ok, some were too young (and were banned from the store afterwards), and some.... well I wish they had left their clothes on...
But any how, if you want that, this is how you can see all you want and more...
