Actually, it can get close. Find out rainfall for a year in recorded data. With that you can from area to area find the volume of that rainfall, and then, find a rough average of the volume of water in an average sized rain drop and divide. Wont be dead on accurate, but would give you an idea.
I doubt either. Our planet is made of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen mainly, the four most common compounds in the universe. Add that to being a pretty small planet, there is probably not enough resources here for them to care about when they can find the raw materials anywhere. That and they will expose themselves to new diseases and put them selves at risk if they come into contact with us. Similar to when the Europeans came to America and the Natives died by diseases in droves. Too much risk for not much. I am sure if they wanted something they would send drones to collect it.
Long distance relationships work for a given amount of time. And that amount of time is dependent on those involved. However, in the long run, if the distance never gets closed it will fail eventually

Depends who I am with. I have a friend that I when I hang with we say pretty much the most offensive crap we can come up with, but it is only because we understand we are not that way and don't mean the horrible crap we say.

Well, there are so many good Mexican restaurants within ten miles of where I live it is crazy. I do miss some German food, especially all the goodies during fest season. I love the breakfasts too, would fill you up and you wouldn't be hungry again till around 5 pm. I will defiantly be back in Germany at some point in my life, probably Oktoberfest in Munich.

If you are with the right person, you shouldn't have to give up your interests, that is part of who you are IMO. Compromise is important, but if you are not being yourself are you really in a healthy relationship at that point?
I honestly don't care if a woman has kids, but showing those kid's faces to strangers is a bit weird. I do get wanting to have it out in the open to ward off anyone who isn't ready for that sort of commitment, but still odd
