How many of you completely waste your spare time? Do u suffer from the *i can't be bothered* syndrome? Do u get off ya butt and exercise for instance? Do u cook every night, or does take away become a regular thing? Do u chase a social life or steer clear? Life is all about BEING A PARTICIPANT >>> Getting into it .. doing stuff .. being active ... R U overweight? Could u lose a few pounds? Can't be bothered making an effort? A long, happy life stems initially from good health .. without that .. you have nothing ... R U a lounge lizard? Who works out regularly? Who watches what they eat? All comments welcome ...

gleneagle: Zen Dao martial arts training twice a week and lifting 12 kg kettlebell weights three times a week plus a least two long walks into the montains each week. A nice five mins of meditation each morning and alwyas tring to improve my Tai Chi when ever I can
COOOL!!!!!!!! i work out 7 days a week .. have my own gym .. i think fitness plays an important role in life .. both health wise and self-esteem ..
"You must be very fit" Its ideal when you have your own gym. I just use a section of my workshop for one. I find its great for improving my positive attitude.
venusenvy: No...Im too busy living it, loving it, and enjoying the hell out of it.
I always think that people who have to specifically set aside time to exercise, unless that's their hobby, for their health don't lead a healthy active enough lifestyle. Even if one works at a desk in the office there has to be more productive things to do with ones energy than lifting inanimate objects for the sake of it, why not go chop some wood for an old person or something?

Well, you'd have to really go out of your way to do the wood chopping thing in this country. They don't really need the wood, actually.
Also lifting weights strengthens your bones (reducing risk of osteoperosis in women for example) and improves your flexibility when you do it properly and focus on the big-muscle exercises that require full-range-of-movement. The increased muscle mass increases your overall metabolism, so you burn more fat even when you're doing nothing at all.
I lived with someone who did bodybuilding as a hobby (completely supplement/steroid FREE) since he was 17. After spending almost 15 years with him and doing some reading on the subject, I know quite a lot about it. Done properly, you can aerobically benefit from this traditionally anaerobic exercise. It also increases your lung capacity when done right.
No, I am definitely not wasting my life. I have a wonderful life: children, grandchildren and a job I love (I take care of special needs people). I also take many classes at my church, attend Sunday School and Church services.

.. well that's the dumbest thing i've EVER heard .. people shouldn't set aside time to exercise? That's insane ... keeping fit and exercising prolongs your life .. i wish u well in your life of obesity and early demise ... ANyone that's into a fitness-based lifestyle does NOT lift objects just for the sake of it .. there's a goal and a purpose behind it ... lifting weights builds muscle and strengthens your bones .. I work out and i also lead a very healthy, active lifestyle .. they both go hand in hand ...

Workaholic here, so yes in some ways I guess I´m wasting my life, and it makes life very difficult in terms of settling down with someone, but I do party regularly as is the way of life in my part of Spain so all is not completely lost.
after falling off of a Bridge a few years ago, and landed on my back, i did slow down a little, Tho I am still active, I was a workaholic, Now I still stay active, and made some big acomplishments since then, on a slow day I may still do more than alot of people, but I have also made some time to enjoy life a little too...
