You guys are killing me!!!!!

Why? The answers ar going to be the same. The Atomic bomb was created during WWII to end the war, as SV said in your other thread:
Unfortunately, it will be the demise to end all wars! Now, if you want more detailed explaination of Atomic bombs being the precursor to other types of boms, here is the pony:
Atomic Bombs are fission bombs,

Nuclear Bombs are all thermonuclear weapons,

and

Hydrogen Bombs are fusion bombs.


A modern hydrogen fusion bomb can vaporize all the water in the San Francisco Bay, instantly.


The first bombs were called Atom bombs, releaseing the power of the atom. This became a popular expression. Also popular to give Einstein credit, but really he only wrote a letter to Pres. Roosevelt incouraging exploration.
Acutally, the energy comes from the nucles splitting or nuclear bomb.
Atomic physics deals with the whole atom or the way the electrons behave or react. Chemistry deals with Atomic physics. Strickly speaking TNT, dynamite, uses the energy stored in the atomic relationships. They make atom bombs. The fusion/Fisson bombs are from the reaction of the nucleus either splitting apart or fusing together to release energy. Nuclear Bombs.




a nuclear bomb is either a fission bomb (atom bomb) or a fusion bomb (hydrogen bomb).

an atom bomb makes use of the energy generated by fission: the splitting up of uranium atom nuclei to release energy and radiation.

a hydrogen bomb makes us of the comparatively much greater energy generated by fusion: the joining up of two hydrogen atoms to release lots of energy.

however, fusion requires a little push to start working. that push requires a lot of energy and is provided by an atomic (fission) bomb.

so a hydrogen bomb uses an atomic bomb to start it off and then uses fusion to release the vast amount of energy that makes it so notoriously destructive.

These illustrate the Physics involved. As you can see the Atomic bomb is an antiquated device. G-d help us all, if ANY Country ever detonates the post cursor of the Atomic Bomb because then you have asked would happen.. conversing conversing handshake uh oh uh oh conversing

Happy Mothers Day to all out there.

I am not a Mom.

I did take care of a friend's baby for 3yrs from when he was 6 mos old while she got herself together. I have not seen him since he was 3.5 yrs old and his mom came back into his life.


So, I do know what being a mom entails for the early years any ways, that being so, Kudos to all.

I bought those things when they first came out thinking I would save electricity and money, remember rubbing my hands together, at the prospect. . .

You got it. And WE ask ourselves the same questions.

When I did Telecomm Intallation in Central offices, We newbies were told don't go to Detroit or DC,etc for work b/c the work often has to be done in the middle of the night and for sfety, the breaks were taken on the roof of the building.

Then the older guys talked about ducking Bullits from rival gangs all while taking a ciggie break on the roof. If yo were sick, you logged ot and slept on the floor. Believe me, I listened to some of those old timers. but that was also ~ 20 years a go too. so sad that it still exists, today.conversing conversing conversing
