Food is broken down in a process called respiration. Enzymes are usually involved in the breakdown of foods. Proteins are broken to amino-acids by protease. Carbohydrates broken to simple sugars: fructose, glucose and lipids (fats & oils) are broken to fatty acids and glycerol by lipase. Once they are taken to the cells, they're respired to produce energy, metabolic water and carbon-dioxide... Waiting for the government to charge me a carbon tax, because of my poo-poo.
I believe a fetus is a person... Human remains: I have no problem with a hospital doing whatever they want with an amputated arm or leg or organs that serve no purposes.
Tough call, I mean, people are in a world of having to be on schedule, needing to be at preplanned events, etc... If I had passed the child, I would have assumed that there was a guardian or parent nearby. If I had been in that area for a longer period of time and actually noticed the amount of time that the child was alone, I would have asked the child questions. I believe the majority of the public would have offered assistance to the child if they knew how long the child had been alone.
There are some Christian men here from many denominations. Surely, there should be a few Church Of God members here as well as those that favor the Pentecostal persuasion. Ah, the Holy Spirit, a tremendous powerful force: A blessing and gift to have with us.
