I tend to choose and consider friends based on their overall attitude and disposition. Friends, similar to finding love, takes time also.

Sometimes, members are just trying to uphold a conversation to prevent 'dead calm'. A few questions spread-out over the course of a few days, seems to suite everyone, instead of dozens of questions in one day.

Yes, I remember watching NASA rocket launches on B/W Tube TV. All regularly scheduled TV programing was interrupted for the launches. Now, we barely ever hear or know about launch events.
