Though not married now. There was a time when my wife had morning sickness from pregnancy. She felt too bad to get out of bed. I would place warm or cold washrags on her forehead, as she felt that she needed that. Temperature of the moist washrag needed, changed constantly from warm to cold, whatever temperature needed at any given moment. I remember that she only wanted dry toast in the mornings and I prepared and kept the same routine every morning for her, for about four months. Had to rush to work every morning to make it on time.
True, Miss. The Baptist, The Catholics, The Presbyterians and others and they also establish Hospitals and Schools. The missions can also seek federal grants and funding and receive Government surplus foods. Tons of help in America. One just needs to stay clean and sober. Willing to volunteer in social programs and one will actually gain weight while living at a mission.
My goodness, that sounds like awesome support and effort. In some major U.S. cities, it's as if missions are actual thriving Industries, better that, than not. As was written, we'll have the poor with us always.
Very sad, every year, dozens of homeless die on the streets, froze to death in the winter. Missions won't accept the homeless for the night if one is drunk or tripin'. Poses a danger for others that are in the mission that are just trying to stay warm.
Missions are in the major cities in the U.S. with several social service programs also. Nation wide phone number for social help, just dial #211, like #911, but for social service help.
The only reason that I'm an American, is because my great grandparents (on mom's side) were starving in Ireland and came here. Great Grandfather discovered that he liked American Indian women, so I ended up: Part Irish and part Cherokee Indian with a touch of Scottish mixed in. Yep, I'm a mutt... Woof-woof.
Miss Mollybaby said the same thing. I just assumed that if Scotland had creatures like Sean Connery roaming around, there would also be Werewolves about.
RE: Your wife is sick. Do you.....
