...i think guns being available makes it much easier for her to do...knives and poison take more planning and it must be harder to bring yourself to stab someone than to stand a few feet away and pull a trigger...
i didn't know it depened on which hand...whenver my palm itches, left or right, seems some money comes my way...it is about giving out, they'd be itching all the time....always paying for something it seems like....
that sounds very reasonable, it seems she just essentially went nuts...insane....otherwise it doesn't make any sense...but who can know this is going to happen....millions of army wives are left on their own for months at a time and don't do stuff like this...nothing could have prevented her mental health failing...but maybe something could have prevented these murders if they had not been so easy to do...
Well, that's a good point. I just think there would be a lot less murder in the US if people did have to find another way than to just pull out a gun. A gun is so final and so easy. A knife attack could be less likely to end in death and same with poisoning. Guns are so very deadly and leathal. And it happens so fast, just a moment in time, a moment of passion or mental imbalance and that's it...if you have guns around, at hand. Not talking about planning ahead and going out and getting one, etc.
It is an interesting story and makes it even more unclear why she did this. Her husband is military, but high ranking and making good money. Maybe she was alone too much taking care of the kids without his support. Her friends and associates say she was a really good and involved mother.....

oh...as I am not looking, I have a lot of blocks on my mail. A woman with a man half her age. It just doesn't seem right. Mary Kay Latourno is in the news again. Her husband is 20 years younger, she is 47. That may be okay if it is working for them, but she started with him when he was 13 and she was in her late 30's.
No, I am not a gun 'activist' and not trying to get attention. I have an opinion about this. Shame on you for telling me to get the hell out of here just because you don't like my opinion. This thread is not about gun ownership, but this very tragic situation does make me think that if this woman did not have access to a gun, her children would not be dead and she would not be destined for life in prison.
She obviously needed some kind of psychological help but didn't get it.
You mean with an older woman? I have never experienced this, don't know what type of things they say. I have had younger men try to get friendly, but I am not much of a flirt and things never get to the point that he would be specific. Do they suggest they are better for an older woman because they are young and 'fit', so to speak...?
I agree. I think it is creepy for these old guys, twice a young woman's age, to try to convince these girls that 'age is just a number' and a young man can't satify them they way he can.
This kind of thing definitely indicates mental illness. It reminds me of what Phil Hartman's wife did. But she killed her husband, not her kids. How can a woman do this?
I think so too that people in countries like Canada who basically, for the most part sit on the fense and let the US handle things, then criticize the US incessantly, they don't hesitate to take advantage of the advantages the US's meddling gives them, including being the US's biggest trading partner. If you so strongly disapprove of the US, then stop trading with us.
